Lizzy and Teacher have no forward confirmation that the two are indeed related as father and daughter. In The Promening, Lizzy mentions having a father capable of docking her peers' grades. It's unspecified if Teacher has each student attending the prom or she was targeting a particular group of persons. Teacher doesn't seem to have any complications with Lizzy as a student. In Heartbeat, Lizzy is seen attending the parent-teacher conference in his class.
She sits in the back with her former best friend, Doll. She doesn't have a parent by her side and neither does Doll, which she acknowledges. This could provide further evidence that Lizzy was simply waiting for her father to be finished with the other students. In Cabin Fever, Teacher has everyone go on a class trip for his disappointment with their grades which can possibly include Lizzy. When the class returns to the bus to head back to the colony Lizzy sits behind Teacher.

The popular headcanon regarding the familial relationship between Lizzy and Teacher has spiraled since the third episode, The Promening. it's possible that the idea has blossomed before Lizzy ever mentioned having a powerful academic father. The pairing often includes the lovable jock, Thad, because of the secondary popular headcanon that Lizzy and Thad are siblings. This turns their overall dynamic into one complex family. In other interpretations, specifically the het interpretation of Lizzy and Thad, Thad becomes the son-in-law of Teacher.
The family ship becomes an endearing relationship to fans because of Lizzy's massive difference in character compared to Teacher. Whereas the Teacher is bland and often bored, Lizzy is loud, mischievous, and confident. It's unclear whether Teacher is aware of Lizzy's bullying antics towards her peers. If the duo are related, Teacher is notably dismissive towards Disassembly Drones and doesn't seem to mind them being the camp counselors of his supposed daughter. Therefore, Lizzy's friendship with Serial Designation V won't have a probability in her relationship with her implied father.
