So, This Priest Walks into a Bar[]
Logan is sitting at a bar when a priest walks in. He orders a drink and Logan says to make it a pitcher and he'll be the one paying. The priest thanks him, but Logan says to knock it off, and not to touch him unless he's going to look like himself. The priest says it's not a good idea, but Logan points out that the bartender is also a mutant and that there is no excuse. The priest then removes his disguise and is revealed to be Kurt. Kurt asks if this is better and Logan says better would be if Kurt didn't have to hide himself, but it's a start. Kurt says that Logan's in a mood and Logan says that's got nothing to do with Kurt.
The two then share a toast to Peter, and Kurt says that he likes the place. Kurt tells him that Katchen had thought she'd seen Peter, but Logan reminds him that Peter's dead. Kurt tries to explain more but Logan interrupts to call for another drink. Kurt asks what happened and Logan says it was nothing. Kurt says that something must have given that Logan is more unpleasant than normal and comments that self loathing doesn't suit him. Logan says that doesn't mean much from a guy who hides his face, shocking Kurt. Kurt comments that the bartender seems to like Logan, and Logan says that's her mistake. The two drink in silence when Kurt asks what the name of the girl Logan couldn't save was. Logan is silent but eventually says that she was 17 and named Lucy.
There's a last call and Kurt asks if the beer actually helps. He comments that punishment must be hard with the healing factor and Logan says that he has no idea. Kurt asks what was so different about Lucy that it made him come all the way to meet him and says that they've both seen death. It's something that is part of life. Logan says that murder isn't and Kurt brings up how many religions have murder in the basic text. Logan says that Kurt doesn't believe that and Kurt says his grasp theological theory is slipping, so all he's got our facts. However, he does know that Logan's actions have always shown that he's an honorable man, but Logan says that he killed 27 men three days ago.
Kurt is shocked, but asks if the men earned Logan's rage. Logan asks if he's looking for an excuse, but Kurt's just trying to understand. Because if everyone was innocent then Logan would need to be stopped. Logan asks if Kurt would be the one to do it, but Kurt says he wouldn't, but he'd die trying. Logan describes them as a cult that kidnapped women and Kurt says that evil begets evil. Logan says that's him and Kurt says he can't help him if that's the answer he's looking for. Logan says to absolve him, but Kurt says the world would be wonderful if it worked that way. He asks if the wolf is evil when it culls sickness and the two leave.
Outside, Logan says that he's not an animal, and Kurt assures him that he knows.
