Longaius is the slash ship between Lon'qu and Gaius from the Fire Emblem fandom.
Canon[]
Lon'qu and Gaius are both part of the Shepherds. Lon'qu joins by being auto-recruited at the end of chapter 4, where Basilio offers Lon'qu as an ally to the Shepherds. Gaius is recruited if you talk to him with Chrom in chapter 6. The two characters start as a sword class, being myrmidon and thief respectively. Both units also have extremely high skill and speed stat growths. Pairing them could also lead to them getting many critical hits at once.
Summer Scramble DLC[]
The two can interact in the Summer Scramble DLC, where you can talk to Lon'qu with Gaius and vice versa. In the first conversation, Gaius expresses his dislike over training in the heat. After Lon'qu asks Gaius to join him, he points out the latter's ice pop. They then bicker over Gaius' sweets. Lon'qu mentions a second use for Gaius' sweets, but says he will show him after battle, promptly cutting the conversation.
In the second conversation, it begins with Gaius about to take a nap. Lon'qu pops out, scaring Gaius awake. He asks the former why he didn't wake him sooner, but Lon'qu says it is alright since he was with him the whole time. Gaius then asks him again why he didn't wake him. This leads to Lon'qu telling Gaius the second use for his sweets; that they attract beetles. It causes Gaius to scream and shout, telling Lon'qu to get them off him. Lon'qu is extremely fond of the beetles, while Gaius is terrified of them. The sweets Gaius carries are what attract the beetles to him, according to Lon'qu. Gaius tells Lon'qu to leave him alone since he's freaking him out. The conversation ends with Lon'qu teasing Gaius about bugs coming out in the night.
Fanon[]
Longaius is an unpopular ship within the Fire Emblem fandom, most likely due to their lack of interaction in the game. Much of their popularity may come from an aesthetic point of view, since the two do not interact outside of their Summer Scramble conversations. They can support each other and attain S-rank in the "Gay Awakening" hack for Fire Emblem Awakening. However, their written supports have yet to be implemented in the game.
