LoonTex is the het ship between Loona and Vortex from the Helluva Boss fandom.

Canon

Spring Broken

Loona initially sees Tex when he approaches behind Blitzo as he attempts to threaten his ex Verosika Mayday. It's inside I.M.P.'s building, however, that Loona literally runs into Tex while she's distracted by fixing her make up in a compact mirror. While initially embarrassed by this, Loona takes another look and quickly finds herself attracted to him. Blitzo notices this and initially appears happy that his daughter is happy, but realizes she's falling for his ex's bodyguard. As a result, Blitzo steps between the two and interrogates Tex, much to Loona's ire.

Soon, Blitzo's and Verosika's spat takes their respective groups to the human world - where the two compete for who can kill/seduce the most. When Verosika starts singing to the crowd, Loona becomes distracted from helping I.M.P. by seeing Tex near Verosika's stage. She quietly goes over to him and awkwardly says hi, with Tex recognizing her as working for Blitzo. She apologizes for if that's weird, but Tex says he's not paid enough to care. She then awkwardly introduces herself and Tex matches her tone to introduce himself. Loona out loud says "that's hot" before realizing she did so and tries to cover for herself. Tex laughs it off and says that his friends call him by his nickname when Loona accidentally says that she doesn't have any friends.

The discussion is interrupted by Blitzo, who finally took notice of Loona's disappearance, as he tries to warn Tex away thinking he's trying to seduce her. Tex tries to say he's not doing anything with Loona, but the imp won't listen. At this point, Loona snaps at Blitzo for interfering with her life, which causes him to angrily stomp off to continue trying to one-up Verosika. Now alone again, Tex tells Loona how savage her rebuke was before asking if she's okay. Loona brushes it aside, noting that Blitzo always gets over things like this, which comforts Tex since he sees Loona can handle herself.

Eventually, Blitzo's and Verosika's spat ends with the latter forced to admit defeat lest what happened becomes public in Hell. As the popstar recalls Tex, he invites Loona to attend a party with him. Loona coolly agrees to the offer - only for Tex to casually reveal his girlfriend throws some crazy hound parties. While Loona is visibly gutted by the revelation that Tex is already taken, he doesn't seem to notice as he wants to get Loona some friends. The two part with Loona returning to Hell with the rest of I.M.P. and Vortex forced to join Verosika's group in dealing with police that arrived.

Queen Bee

After leaving a note for Blitzo, Loona finally takes up Tex's offer and heads to one of these parties being held in a mansion in the Gluttony Ring. Tex greets her at the entrance and attempts to get her situated with the atmosphere. He briefly separates from Loona but returns after she gets into a spat with one of the nastier partygoers - which she attempts to disguise. Before this could be pressed, a loud voice welcomes all the guests to the party. With a smile, Tex leads Loona to the center of the mansion, where the host of the party - Queen Bee-lzebub - descends. The two watch her singing and granting the partygoers plenty of snacks. Once she finishes, Bee flies to Tex and Loona and greets the latter. After some discussion between the girls, Tex formally introduces the two to each other, with him revealing to Loona that Bee is his girlfriend. This news shocks Loona, and leaves her speechless as Bee tells her to enjoy the party to her heart's content. However, to Tex's shock, Loona finds herself unable to enjoy the party and tries to leave it.

Loona is ultimately convinced to try again and returns with her dad in tow. Blitzo's antics start kicking the party up and Loona begins enjoying it. However, Tex approaches her as he and Bee explain that Blitzo is starting to get out of control and Bee can sense something is wrong with him. Loona, however, is dismissive of these worries - thinking her dad is just acting like he usually does - resulting in her and Bee having a heated argument that causes the Sin to enter her true form. Loona is about ready to start physically attacking Bee when he sees Tex sadly shaking his head. Seeing that Tex is getting upset about the argument, Loona ultimately relents and agrees to check up on Blitzo. In the end, Loona takes Blitzo back home while Tex continues partying with Bee and the rest.

Fanon

LoonTex is a decently popular ship in the Helluva Boss fandom. Loona's near instant crush on Tex in Spring Broken already proves quite endearing to fans of this ship. While the fact that Tex already had a girlfriend at the end proved disappointing, the fact that Tex was still willing to be friendly with Loona still served as some comfort for fans and some hope that they could eventually be together. To that end, several works featuring this ship had Tex breaking up with his mysterious girlfriend for some reason or the fact is outright ignored, a rare few even flirting with the three ending up in a poly relationship. With the premier of Queen Bee, Tex's girlfriend was finally revealed and their relationship quickly became one of this ship's biggest rivals alongside, ironically enough, said girlfriend with Loona and even all three together became a real possibility.

On AO3, this ship has decent support with 62 tagged works works. It's Vortex's second-most written ship behind HoneyHound and Loona's third-most behind Blitzoona and Owling at the Moon.
