LotusDrangea is the non-binary ship between Hydrangea Cookie and Lotus Dragon Cookie from the Cookie Run fandom.
Canon
Backstory
One day, Hydrangea’s flower hair and manners caught the eyes of Lotus Dragon, while they were sitting on top of their palace. Immediately, Lotus Dragon had her become their attendant.
Finding The Dragon
The two cookies are first shown in-game during an annual lantern festival in their region— the Lotus Paradise— called the "Wish Festival", which references China's Qixi festival in the real world.
Hydrangea is the palace keeper of Lotus' palace, and Lotus' personal servant. She is in charge of sending the cookie's wishes to Lotus Dragon on that day- since they are known as the "wish granter".
However, it is later revealed Lotus Dragon doesn't actually grant wishes, they merely give cookies illusions on water, and slowly take away their life forces for themselves, nearly killing them. Though the game leaves it up to interpretation if the dragon has fully killed cookies like this before.
This is done so they can become a full dragon again, since at the time, they were weakened and forced to take a cookie form. Hydrangea has been shown to have no issue in seeing her fellow cookies' lives be drained.
Hydrangea assists in Lotus' life force taking because in return, Lotus Dragon gains more power and continues to have the Lotus paradise (and Hydrangea's hometown, Hortensia Town) full of flowers, something hydrangea is obsessed with. Despite this dependency, the two are described as "good friends" by another cookie, Mala Sauce cookie.
Hydrangea is lazy, easily distracted and carefree, so she tends to take multiple breaks just to do something that would take her a few minutes. Although this would be an issue to any other master, Lotus Dragon appears to have no issue with it, as they still keep her as their top manager. At most, they have calmly commented to Hydrangea that she was late, prompting a response from another present cookie, "The Great Dragon isn't mad? Those two must be good friends!" As mentioned earlier. For years, Hydrangea was the only one who was allowed to be near Lotus Dragon. Everyone else wasn't allowed to see them or speak to them, since they're seen as a type of Godly being.
The two were temporarily villainous to Gingerbrave and the rest of the cast in "Gingerbrave's Tale". Lotus attempted to take their magical compass and take their life forces for themself.
Current
Drama happens between the five dragons, where the eldest and most powerful dragon of the group, Longan Dragon, is awoken from its deep slumber by Lychee Dragon. They reveal their plans to wipe all cookiekind and revert back to dinosaur and dragon times. Longan ends up partly succeeding with their time manipulation powers. This ends up destroying the Lotus Paradise, having a giant Lotus flower that keeps the paradise beautiful, almost get destroyed as well.
At first, Lotus claims that they don't care for cookiekind because they believe themself to be above having any feelings for cookies, but then, they see Hydrangea almost get her life force sucked out trying to keep the white lotus flower in its place. Because of this, they end up feeling guilty, and decide to go to war against Longan.
Hydrangea and Lotus Dragon then become allies to gingerbrave and his friends. Lotus Dragon requests help from Avocado cookie, a blacksmith, to create a spear to defeat Longan Dragon. They then start recruiting more cookies to fight against the Ivory Dragon and save cookiekind.

This ship was first shipped in August 2021, when the two first released.
The most common AU when it comes to fics and artwork for the pair is the modern AU where they are both reimagined as humans living in the mid-2020’s.
The term HydraLotus/HyLotus is used more often on Twitter, while the term Lotusdrangea is used more often on Tumblr.
In the Korean Cookie Run fandom before the "Rise Of The Blue Dragon" update revealed their new costume, many fans disliked Lotus' design due to it being "plain" compared to the other two dragons, so there was a running joke that anyone who liked Lotus Dragon and their design was simply one of Hydrangea's many alternate accounts. Once the dragon received two new costumes to put on, the jokes had stopped since most enjoyed the costumes.
Unfortunately, the ship lacks content, notably fanart, because it happens to be a rarepair on every site. While the majority of the fans are on twitter, the amount is not much. The ship is very unpopular due to the fact that it is currently an Ovenbreak-exclusive ship; a game rarely played for its story, and not available to play in other countries like Mainland China. On top of that, it is disliked by many fans due to the majority of Cookie Run fans having a strong dislike for immortal x mortal ships, codependency, and servant x master ships, considering them to be “morally grey”. Sometimes it is even disliked because of fan’s personal family headcanons- despite the two not having a canon dynamic like that.
As of writing this, there are currently only 25 HyLotus works on AO3.
