Loulet is the het ship between Violet Sabrewing and Louie Duck from the DuckTales fandom.
Canon[]
Lena and Louie are both close friends with Webby Vanderquack. It is through this friendship that they get to know each other. They are first seen interacting in the episode "A Nightmare on Killmotor Hill!", although they do not share any significant moments with each other. In "Challenge of the Senior Junior Woodchucks!", Violet competes against Louie's brother, Huey Duck, to be named the newest Senior Woodchuck. Louie is seen cheering on Huey and encouraging him to win.
In "The Split Sword of Swanstantine!", Louie and Violet are taken to Istanbird by Scrooge, alongside Webby, Lena, and the other triplets. The kids split up to look for the separated sword pieces, and while Violet hesitates and wonders if she should change out of her pajamas, Louie grabs her and encourages her to run from Black Heron. They determine that their piece of the sword resides in the "underworld", and Violet reveals that she brought money for the ferryman and an axe. Louie, shocked, throws her axe away and reveals that "underworld" likely refers to the criminal underworld rather than the afterlife. They enter the secret spice club, and Louie gives their names as "The Silver-Tongued Serpent" and "The Notorious Violet Sabre".
Violet appears unimpressed with Louie's plan to lie their way through everything. Louie, on the other hand, is unbothered by this. When it is revealed that FOWL beat them to the spice club, Violet chides Louie for stopping to eat a liver kebob on their way over. Louie and Violet are forced into a "spice-off" against John D. Rockerduck, with the winner walking away with the hilt of the sword. Louie tries to con his way into winning, but is caught. Violet, seeing that they're in trouble, quickly downs all three bowls of spice in a row.
Rockerduck, incensed that he has lost, reveals Louie's identity. Violet hops onto the table and begins to sing Louie's praises, listing off his accomplishments alongside Scrooge and the rest of the McDuck clan. They are granted the hilt, and hurry out of the club. Louie asks Violet in awe how she was able to handle all of the spice without breaking a sweat. Violet explains that she used "Tibetan focus techniques and a membership to the Spice of the Month club". She then reveals that her mouth is "on fire", and submerges her head in a nearby water trough.
Fanon[]
Loulet is considered to be a rarepair in the fandom, much like Huelena which is another ship born from the interactions in "The Split Sword of Swanstantine!".
Louie and Violet have very few interactions in the series, with their most important one coming at the very end of the series. For this reason, fans who hopped on the ship had very little material to work with, and only a handful of episodes left in the series to hope for new interactions between the two. While it had a brief moment of popularity following "The Split Sword of Swanstantine!", the ship faded into obscurity following the series finale.
Fans of Loulet like the "Opposites Attract" trope they compose, with Violet as the smart, studious type and Louie as the lazy conman. Fans may also like the possibility of Violet officially join the McDuck clan through starting a relationship with Louie.
There are currently 10 works for this ship on AO3. There are more fics for the platonic pairing, with 20. This ship is often rivalled by Louna and Huelet.
