Lovebug is the het ship between Niffty and Valentino from the Hazbin Hotel fandom.
Canon[]
Season One[]
Niffty and Valentino have their first interaction in episode 6, "Welcome to Heaven." Niffty sees Valentino and runs up to him as Angel tries to stop her, Angel eventually stops her from running up to him and he asks who she was, Niffty then bites his hand and he backs away. Niffty says “I just want a taste” and Valentino thought it was weird but said there was a kink for that. Angel Dust then tells Valentino to fuck off and stop messing with him and his friends outside the studio, Valentino then hits him and the group walks away. Niffty stays and rips a piece of Val’s fur off and he yells, Niffty says it was for her collection and then she runs off to catch up to the group.
In “The Show Must Go On”, as Niffty started stabbing Adam, it goes to a scene of the Vees and Valentino has a shocked face. As he watches Niffty killing the first man and covering herself in Adam's golden angelic blood.
Season Two[]
Their paths cross again in the fourth episode of season two, that has as showdown between Niffty and Valentino. After Niffty learns that Alastor was being attacked by all three Vees and she joins in the battle with Husk to save him, while leaving Husk with the task to deal with Velvette as Niffty takes it upon herself to handle the "bad boy" she laches onto. Valentino remembers her and is angry to see her again, before he could react Niffty climbs into Val's coat and wriggles around in it before prising a knife through his chest. She stabs Valentino again in side of his neck, as he tries to grab her and even goes so far as to point his own gun at himself; after Niffty wriggles back into his coat. The moment after Niffty knifes her way out of his coat and jumps up to stab him again, however, Valentino grabs Niffty by the throat and then throws her onto the group. She looks at the gun Valentino points at her and laughs mandalically, showing no fear, but before Val could pull the trigger Vox stops him and uses one of his wires to pull the arm holding the gun away from Nifty. Through Val kept his foot on her after Alastor tells Vox to call his fellow Vees off, so he can offer them a deal in exchange for letting Niffty and Husk go. The blast from Vox and Alastor's deal knocks Valentino off of Niffty, and since the deal was made Valentino had no choice but to let Niffty leave with Husk.
Fanon[]
This ship is not a popular ship in the fandom, since StaticMoth is canon and overshadows Lovebug. Some fans think that their interactions in the first season are funny, hoping to see more like them as the series continues. Much like Niftious and AppleMaid, Lovebug is mostly due to Niffty's fixation on bad boys. Since it was the reason Niffty approached Valentino in the first place, and led to the brief moments that got people to create Lovebug.
