The current requirements for ship pages are:
- 20 sentences split between the canon and fanon sections, with content in both sections.
- One minimum link under the fandom section (e.g. AO3 tags, Tumblr links)

Alberto met Ercole Visconti when he and Luca came to Portorosso to obtain a Vespa, and sees Ercole arriving on one.

Albercole mostly focuses on the Ercole redeem/reform AU, as not everyone are fans of "Hero x Villain" ships and prefer to place hero characters with reformed/redeemed villains. With Ercole being a resident of Portorosso and Alberto moving into the human that came to expect his kind, it sparked the idea of their paths containing to cross with one another and later leads to Ercole's reform as the two get to each better.
With Gaston from Disney's Beauty and the Beast being one of the inspersions for Ercole's character, and the fact he tried to kill Alberto for simply being a "monster," it has people paralleling them with Gaston and Beast. Since Luberto sometimes have Alberto serve as the cursed prince in a BatB AU and Ercole being a logical choice for the role of the selfish hunter.

Because of the way Alberto moved in with Massimo at the end of the 2021 Pixar film, and its follow-up short has the two forming a father and son bond, it has most people view the ship as a familyship rather than a friendship. With Alberto's adoption not being official, however, is why some may have treated it as a friendship. Along with there being a theory of Bruno Madrigal from Encanto possibly being Alberto's father, before it was disproven and mostly have this idea in AUs of the Encanto/Luca crossover.

The cross ship began during the lead up to the release of the DreamWorks films. The Luca vibes people got from the trailers had got them to parallel Chelsea with Ercole, before the release of the film revealed Chelsea's true identity and age. Making her an adult woman than a teenager like Ercole.

The Paguros are a family of sea monsters who live a simply life away from the human world. Even though Grandma Paguro has journeyed to the human town on the weekends and is able to turn herself into a human when her skin is dry. When Ugo went to the surface, however, he suffered a terrible experience that go him to retreat to the darkest deeps of the sea, where he'll be far away from the dangers of the surface. Daniela also believes that the surface world and the "land monsters" above the waves are dangerous and wants her son, Luca far away from it. Her husband, Lorenzo also agrees that the surface is not safe for their kind, from seeing what it had done to his brother. Luca being tired of his life under the sea, however, has him wondering about it and likes hearing his grandmother talking about it in ways that are different to his mother's views of it.
