Felicia saves Mary Jane from a villain that threatened hers and Peter Parker's life in order to get Felicia to steal something very valuable from a very dangerous person. So Felicia convinces the villain to let Mary Jane go, saying she's working for her. So the two of them join forces to participate in this job.
Mary Jane & Black Cat[]
Mary Jane and Felicia team up again when all the inanimate objects come to life in New York City and start attacking people. Mary Jane now has super powers but doesn't know which one she will get until she tries to use it. Felicia caughts her using her powers and teases her about it. But despite her usual teasing attitude, she genuinely cares for Mary Jane, so much so that she arranged for Tony Stark to get Mary Jane's kids taken care of.
However, a worry on Felicia's mind is how to tell Mary Jane that she rekindled her relationship with Peter. Not knowing that Mary Jane doesn't even care about her ex, as she now has her own life and family to care for. So as Felicia carries Mary Jane on her back through the air, she worries about how to tell her that again. Despite that, as they were flying through the air, they end up going through a portal to Limbo and now have to deal with that as well.
The two of them end up meeting Belasco there, supplanted by Magik as the ruler of Limbo, who gave the throne to Madelyne Pryor. He tells them both to steal back his Soulsword so that he can reclaim his dominion. Mary Jane and Felicia can only get back to Earth through Limbo's Screaming Tower. But they aren't the only burglars looking to snatch Belasco's Soulsword, and the tower is even more dangerous than they expected.
Throughout their journey, Felicia finds it harder and harder to reveal things to Mary Jane, as she continues to show how much she cares for and admires Felicia. Felicia realizes that she wants to protect her friendship with Mary Jane so she finds it even harder to reveal now. Ultimately, when Mary Jane ends up finding out as they face the "final boss," she is more upset at the fact Felicia didn't trust her enough to say it earlier. Since they have genuine affection for each other, Mary Jane opens up to her that she's happy for Felicia and that she can trust her. She saves Felicia from the monster, and when she gets down, the two of them hug tightly.
