MagaKisu is the slash ship between Theo Magath and Keith Shadis from the Attack on Titan fandom.

Canon[]

Theo Magath, General of the Marleyan military and 12th Commander of the Survey Corps, Keith Shadis, joined forces. The two of them are Veterans, who lived in different lands, in different environments, with different beliefs, yet they had a lot of common experiences in their lives. During the War for Paradis arc, they met and joined forces together to fight for the same purpose: to stop the mass genocide of the Rumbling.

The two of them met when Shadis saved Magath's life. As the ship with the Alliance leaves the harbor, Magath chooses to stay behind, intending to destroy a Marleyan cruiser left at the harbor so that the group cannot be followed. As he makes his way to the cruiser, he is spotted by two Yeagerists who identify him as an enemy and intend to kill him. However, just in time, he is saved by Shadis who offers to help him. They barricade themselves inside the cruiser's storage room. As he prepares to detonate the ship, Magath tells Shadis that he still has time to jump into the sea and survive. But Shadis tells him that it's fine since he was looking for a time to die anyway.

Magath is surprised to hear his vulnerable confession and asks him why he helped him when it could not benefit Paradis. Shadis opens up to Magath and tells him that he saw Annie Leonhart in the ship alongside his students, despite them being from different sides of the war. He understood they were allying to stop the Rumbling and was deeply moved by how much they've grown. Magath says that if it wasn't for Shadis, it would've been over for them, and that he will be remembered as a hero for helping save the world. Shadis tries to compliment him likewise, but Magath refuses to accept praise because of his background in the Marley military indoctrinating children for war. So then he expresses regret for his Warriors being unable to live normal lives as children.

As some Yeagerist approaches them and starts banging on the door, demanding for them to open up, Shadis tells Magath that he's proud of him and as Magath thanks him, the two exchange names before detonating the ship, sacrificing themselves.

Fanon[]

MagaKisu is considered an extremely rare ship in the fandom. The two of them started being shipped relatively recently, during the last arc of the manga. Since their interactions haven't been animated yet, the ship doesn't have that many fans. And most fans of the ship view their dynamic as more of a cute last-minute-allyship, than in a romantic way. The ship currently has only four works in AO3.
