MakoKen is the friend ship between Makoto Yuki and Ken Amada from the Persona fandom.
Canon[]
Makoto officially met Ken when Ikutsuki introduced him at the front entrance of Gekkoukan High School on July 18th after 1st Semester Final Exams. Makato meets Ken again in August after he officially joins S.E.E.S.

Ken’s first Link Episode started on September 8th, where Makoto has the option to invite him to hang out. Ken rejects his offer since he believes he is worried for him, but the player chooses, “You can always talk with me.” he thanks him for checking on him. Before Ken returned to his room, his stomach was growling since he hadn’t had dinner yet, so he accepted Makoto’s offer to hang out. Ken decides to get dinner at Hagakure with Makoto.

After Makoto and the others returned from the Yakushima trip, Mitsuru assigned Makoto to be Ken’s bodyguard for the time being. During Dark Hour, Makoto secretly follows Ken, who is roaming around the city, until he hears Koromaru’s voice and goes after him, where a Shadow attacks him. Ken gets distracted and is attacked by Shadow until Makoto saves his life by summoning his Persona. Ken uses Makoto’s Evoker to summon his Persona for the first time to destroy the Shadow, whom he believes was responsible for his mother’s death. After Ken joined SEES, Makoto decided to accompany him with Akihiko and Ken to Tartarus for a training session for the two recruits.
Makoto hangs out with Ken, Shinjiro, and Aigis during the Summer Festival. They also watch fireworks at Ken’s favorite spot, which he shared with his mother before her death. During September, Makoto is paired up with Ken to take down the lesser Shadow and cut off Arcana Hermit’s power source. When Shinjiro’s Persona berserk and attacks Ken, Makoto dives concerned for Ken and asks him if he is alright. Still, Ken doesn’t respond since he has just recently recovered all of his memory of Shinjiro being in to save him. Makoto, who is concerned for Ken, asks him if he is all right, but Ken doesn’t respond since he has just recently recovered all of his memory of Shinjiro being responsible for his mother’s death.
On Oct 4th, Ken saw Makoto in his room before Dark Hours started. He thanked Makoto for everything before his goodbyes and apologized as he closed his door. Makoto looks confused about Ken’s departing words.
For the third and fourth movies, Makoto doesn’t interact with Ken again since Makoto’s interaction mainly focuses on Ryoji and Aigis.
Weird Masquerade[]
In Act 2, Sakuya meets Ken during the July operation, where Arcana Hietrophant escapes and attempts to attack Ken until Shinjiro uses Akihiko’s Evoker to summon Castor to defeat it. After Yakushimas’ trip, Sakuya has no problem with Ken joining S.E.E.S. as he casually welcomes him. During the summer festival, Shinjiro asks Sakuya to hold Ken’s hand so he won’t get lost in the crowd. He grabbed his hand until after Shinjiro won a goldfish for Ken. After Shinjiro’s death, Sakuya found Ken in the back alley of Tatsumi Port Island. He tells Ken he’s not forcing him to come back and instead informs him that everyone is waiting for him back at the dorm. When Mitsuru asks Sakuya if they should search for Ken, he coldly replies to leave him be, which angers Junpei at his negative attitude.
Fanon[]
MakoKen is one of the rare fanshipping in Persona 3 fanbase. Makoto and Ken only sometimes interact with each other in the original game. Their ships increased only in films, stage plays, and spin-off games.
On AO3, there are no works. On Fanfiction.net, there are a total of 14 works for Minato/Makoto and Ken.
