Freddie only appears on the short Descendants: Wicked World series and the Descendants novels. Mal knows Freddie from her time growing up on the Isle of the Lost with her and the rest of the villain kids.

Wicked World[]

Season One

After Mal accidently wishes herself back on the Isle of the Lost, as her wish drags Evie, Ben and Audrey back with her, she gets them to hide before anyone sees them. The building they walked into ended up being the shop that is owned by Freddie's father, Dr. Facilier, when Mal and her friends walked into the shop Freddie hid herself in the shadows from them before making her presence known. Once Mal saw Freddie she know from their concerns that the voodoo girl would bring them trouble. Mal tries to get Freddie to retract her claws, but Freddie jokes about just having them sharped before she picks on Ben and Audrey. Seeing Freddie being a bad girl reminds Mal of her rotten ways before she left the isle. When Mal remembered Jordan and the lamp she rubbed, her second accidently wish transports Freddie off the isle and into the inside of Jordan's lamp with them. To make sure that she doesn't get sent back to the isle, Freddie uses her charms to convince Ben to allow the voodoo girl to stay in Auradon. Even though Mal thinks that Freddie being allowed to stay is a bad idea, she didn't let her thoughts stop her from helping Freddie to fix in the school and with the rest of the Auradon kids. At Auradon's annual singing competition, Freddie and Mal sing "Good is the New Bad" together with Evie, Audrey, Lonnie and Ally.

With Auradon Prep's annual Fighting Knights ball fast approaching, Freddie, Mal and the rest of their girl friends have a meeting about the party's theme in Jordan's lamp. Where they wear their genie outfits again. Mal wants a purple or wicked theme party, while Freddie likes the idea of having a party in the dark before she comes up the idea to merge everyone's ideas together. Mal agrees with Freddie's subjection as it gives her the idea for them to have a neon lights party, that everyone agrees to. Once the choice was settled, Mal and Freddie help their friends to set things up for the party. As the two hang out in Audrey's dorm room, who is angry that she won't get to be Q.N.L.B.'s queen, Mal and Freddie listen to Evie brag about her being picked to be the said queen and how she wants to give the two makeovers. While Freddie doesn't want to have one, Mal gets framed for stealing Jane's mascot uniform.

Before Mal and Freddie head to the party with the rest of their girl friends, the two wait for Jay and Carlos to give them up at the Mad for Tea Café. Where Freddie sees her secret stow away friend make Mal look like the bad guy again, before Mal uses her magic to fix up Ally's dress as Freddie agrees that Mal has made the dress a lot more better that it originally was. When the two were still waiting for the boys to pick them up, Mal and Freddie end up having to go there in Jane's pumpkin car.

At the Neon Lights Ball, someone had cut the power to the music just when Mal was about to have a dance with Ben, but Freddie manged to save the night by singing "Night is Young" where she makes "their own kind of music". Lonnie was then able to get the music back up with her phone to allow Freddie to enjoy the rest of the night with Mala and the rest of their friends. After Jay and Carlos finally arrive to the party where they tell everyone that they got carpet jacket, CJ Hook makes herself known to everyone. Mal was shocked to learn that Freddie was the one who has been hiding CJ all this time, while the pirate girl was causing them trouble. Seeing how angry Mal is Freddie tries to explain her actions, but CJ didn't give Freddie the chance to with her bragging. Mal also didn't like how Freddie agrees to stays CJ's partner, until Freddie learns that CJ has no intention to keep her promise and decides to side with Mal and the rest of their true friends. Freddie apologies for helping CJ and Mal excepts its, before asking her if there are anymore surprises they should know about. Hearing that CJ was the only surprise, Mal subjects that they should enjoy the rest of the night.

In the aftermath of the Neon Lights Ball, Mal and Freddie join the rest of the girls in a slumber party where they play a rousing game of would-you-rather. The two were then informed of the next party they'll be attending called the Jewel-bilee. The VK girls learn a bit more about it the next day, as the AK girls tell them that their good behaviour will rewarded them with their own birthright jewels. Both Freddie and Mal like the idea of being given the jewels that Auradon took from their parents, before they were sent to the Isle of the Lost, but Mal was then sadly told that her jewel was the only villain jewel to not be found she felt left out, again. Once Freddie over hears Mal's plan to sneak back onto the the isle in hopes of finding her jewel, he decides to tag along since there is a strong chance that it might be hidden in her father's shop. Even though they failed to find the jewel, the two did have fun looking around the shop for it and to make sure that they don't leave empty handed, Freddie gives Mal the harmless looking necklace she find on the floor. That Mal thanks Freddie for with a smile. For some reason the necklace causes Mal to act all evil and mean, while no one knows why that is. Until the necklace Freddie gave Mal brakes to reveal that her jewel was in it all this time, and how the cursed placed upon it has been turning Mal evil.

Although the ship is a rare pairing, it still has a few loyal supporters as fans focus on the friendship between the two in the short Descendants series. Because the VK child that Mal personally picked to join them in Auradon is Celia Facilier, fans suspect that Mal's decision might had something to do with Celia's older sister, Freddie.
