MamoMichi is the het ship between Mamoru Chiba and Michiru Kaiou from the Sailor Moon fandom.

Mamoru and Michiru first meet when Mamoru is walking home from school. The pair bump into each other, causing Michiru to drop her hand mirror. Mamoru reaches to get it for her, and she remarks that his eyes are a "very noble colour". She guesses he may have been a prince in a past life, which shocks Mamoru. When he asks how she knew that, Michiru explains that her hand mirror reflects people's past lives. Usagi, who is in the nearby arcade, watches this interaction take place.

A few days later, the pair meet again when Mamoru is trying to learn more about Mugen Academy. Michiru tells Mamoru that some people call Mugen Academy "a school for witches". She is distracted from the conversation by an approaching fan, who asks for her autograph. Mamoru asks if Michiru is one of the "multi-talented witches" from Mugen, and she says she is. She offers Mamoru tickets to her violin concert. Once again, Usagi happens to watch this interaction unfold. She is shocked, because Tuxedo Mask and the Sailor Guardians had agreed to keep their distance from Michiru and Haruka.

On one of their next missions, Sailor Uranus kisses Sailor Moon. Usagi begins to feel uncomfortable around Mamoru, not knowing what to tell him. The pair walk to school together, and pass posters for Michiru's concert. Usagi wonders if Mamoru is thinking about Michiru in the same way that she is thinking about Haruka and Uranus. Later that day Usagi runs into Haruka again, and they give Usagi tickets for Michiru's concert as well. When Usagi shows off the tickets at the arcade, Mamoru is jealous.

Instead of using his second ticket to bring Usagi as a date, he brings Chibiusa instead. When Usagi learns this she is jealous, both because of Chibiusa and because of Michiru. When the Death Busters arrive at Michiru's concert, everyone transforms to try and fight them off. Sailor Neptune arrives and picks up the violin, and Mamoru realizes her true identity.

The next day, Mamoru and Usagi confront each other about their feelings of jealousy. Usagi apologizes for spending time with Haruka, but tells Mamoru that she was also upset to see him spending time with Michiru. They both admit that they do trust each other, even if they were both jealous.

90s Anime

Usagi begins to wonder if she is not good enough to be Mamoru's girlfriend. She approaches Michiru and asks her to teach her how to play the violin. Instead, Michiru and Haruka take Usagi out for ice cream, where she explains that she's feeling inadequate. Michiru offers Usagi a pair of tickets for a friend's violin concert that evening, and Usagi gladly takes them. She and Mamoru arrive to the concert, and Michiru and Haruka watch them from one of the balcony seats. When a monster attacks, all of the girls transform to try and fight it off. They are unable to do so, but Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune arrive in time to save them. Tuxedo Mask confronts the new Sailor Guardians, telling them that they could confess to who they truly are. Neptune rejects this, saying that her only goal is to find the talismans.

In a later episode, Mamoru, the Inner Guardians, and Haruka and Michiru all attend a party hosted by a visiting American. Haruka and Michiru approach the group, and Michiru asks Mamoru to dance. Usagi freaks out and declares that Mamoru will only dance with her; however when Haruka offers to be her partner instead, Usagi gladly accepts and lets Mamoru and Michiru pair off. While dancing, they discuss the host of the party.

Fanon

MamoMichi is not a very popular ship in the fandom. With Michiru in a commited relationship with Haruka and Mamoru the soulmate to Usagi, fans typically do not tend to ship these two characters outside of their canon pairings. When they do, Michiru is often paired with other women as she never shows romantic interest in men. Shippers of MamoMichi may also be shippers of Harusagi and simply want to see Mamoru and Michiru happy while their significant others pair off together.
