Three Houses[]
Hilda was quite bummed to have to clean the library so she instantly confided in Marianne about this. Marianne tells her she doesn't mind cleaning. So Hilda gets excited and asks Marianne to take care of it as she runs some errands. She excitedly trusts Marianne's "capable hands."
However, when she returns, she finds the place in worse conditions than they were before. So she worriedly asks Marianne about what happened. Marianne apologizes and tells Hilda that she didn't know the best way to organize the books while sorting. Hilda is quick to offer her help, and excitedly teaches Marianne how to sort things out. Marianne is impressed by Hilda's skills, and thanks her for the help, while offering to help her put the books back on the shelf.
Later, when more supplies arrived from the infirmary, Marianne offers her help with them again. Hilda says that she could've used her help earlier, which prompts Marianne to apologize again. Hilda says she doesn't need any more apologies, only her help. So Marianne helps tidy up the supplies, but drops some bottles by mistake, which contain "strong stuff." Marianne ends up apologizing profusely again after this, but Hilda just wants them to eat some pastries together, telling Marianne not to worry.
So the next time they meet, Marianne brings some pastries to Hilda, to thank her for helping her in the infirmary. Hilda thanks her, impressed, and offers Marianne some tea. Marianne apologizes , again, but Hilda is quick to reassure Marianne that for her, it's no trouble at all. Hilda confesses that she's used to her little arrangement with Marianne, where she gives her help and Marianne gives her sweets, and then they have a "little tea party," since without it, Hilda says she'd feel disoriented. So Marianne feels comforted by the fact that Hilda is enjoying herself.
- Aw! Marianne laughing at me! So rude, and yet, so adorable. [...] It's nice to see her laugh... Sure, she was laughing at me. But how can I get mad when she looks so dang cute?
- —Hilda finds Marianne adorable.
Warriors: Three Hopes[]
Hilda and Marianne's support delves more into how much Hilda cares about Marianne. In their first conversation, Hilda takes the blame for Marianne messing up the sorted weapons by claiming she tripped. In their second, when Marianne asks why Hilda is always so kind to her, Hilda says it's because Marianne is her emotional support.
The two also have a paralogue in which Hilda runs into trouble on a scouting mission, and it's up to Marianne and Shez to save her. Marianne is extremely down on herself until they find Hilda, and the knowledge that she helped save her friend makes her feel better.
In the non-Golden Wildfire routes, Marianne tells Shez that Hilda stopped by to chat with her, and that she treasures having her as a friend.
