Marshatin is the het ship between Marshmallow and Gelatin from the Inanimate Insanity and Battle for Dream Island fandoms.
Canon[]
Marshmallow and Gelatin have never interacted in their shows. They do have a lot of similarities though. Marshmallow and Gelatin are the first contestants in the OSC to be food. They are the only contestants to canonically live in a house. Marshmallow lives in Purgatory Mansion. Gelatin lives in a house made of steak. They are deemed as untrustworthy to their teammates. The reasons are that Marshmallow's too fierce and Gelatin's too dumb. They also moved into a new location that isn't close to their shows location. Marshmallow came to Purgatory Mansion to live there. Gelatin moved to a orange forest. They also are some of the only characters who had a drastic voice change that happened not due to controversy. Marshmallow was voiced by AmandaRules85, then Adam, and finally Dee Cashin. Gelatin was voiced by Graham Taylor, then swapped to Ian Woodside. The two of them were also punished by their hosts. MePhone4 disqualified Marshmallow. Four attempted to kill Gelatin for stabbing him. They also have been on a celestial body. Marshmallow was launched to Mars. Gelatin went to the sun with his team. They also didn't compete in their most recent seasons. Being TPOT and I.I.I. They also have sang songs in their show, specifically related to a character. Marshmallow sang about the struggles she and the others have faced by being on the show. Gelatin sang about Lollipop. They also had a design change. Marshmallow became smaller as the series went on. Meanwhile Gelatin was dark green, and didn't have arms at one point. He was changed to lime green and to include arms. They also had alliances in their show. Marshmallow teamed up with Bow to help win the challenge. Gelatin teamed up with all the finalists minus Flower. They also have saved their hosts. Marshmallow saved MePhone4 by coming to his aid in the finale. Gelatin got Four to come back to earth. The two of them also have a negative relationship with flying. Marshmallow flew to Mars and got stuck. While Gelatin has gotten clausaphobic numerous times in the sky.

This ship is a rarepair in the community. Marshatin didn't appear until 2016 at the latest, during Season 2 of Inanimate Insanity and IDFB. The two were frequently shipped by small crossover shippers from that era. Most of them have stopped shipping it and some even question why they shipped it. Most shippers dislike the ship since that era of the OSC. The two are brought up again and again around the community every once and while though. Their rival ships are Matchbrush, the ship between Match and Paintbrush.
