Martheach is the het ship between Princess Peach and Marth from the Super Smash Bros. fandom.
Canon[]
While they come from different franchises, they are both monarchs from their respective franchises and the worlds within. Marth is the prince of Altea, while Peach is the princess of the Mushroom Kingdom. Their roles within their respective games (and kingdoms) is quite different, though. Marth is one of the main protagonists, trying to save his kingdom, while Peach is often needing to be rescued, something even Nintendo has taken to joking about. Overall, Marth's royal status is treated seriously while Peach's royal status is more light-hearted. Their royal titles are used inconsistently, as they are sometimes called "Prince Marth" and "Princess Peach," or "Marth" and "Peach."
Personality-wise, Marth and Peach have very similar values. Both of them are very empathetic and caring, wanting to protect their comrades and the citizens of their respective kingdoms. They are also courageous, going up against dangerous foes despite their own limitations. Peach is a bit more mischievous than Marth, and tends to present herself as more jovial, while Marth often remains stoic or otherwise serious. They are also held within high regard by people within their kingdoms. The Toads are undyingly loyal to Peach, while Marth is remembered for generations after as "The Hero King."
Since the Super Mario games and Fire Emblem games do not have any crossovers with each other, Marth and Peach have limited interactions. Their only official interactions come from the Super Smash Bros. franchise. Both have been mainstays of the series since their debut in Melee. Their interactions in the games remain shallow, but are still noteworthy. The following as the various ways the two have been together in the series.
Super Smash Bros. Melee[]
Both Marth and Peach were introduced to the Smash Bros. series in the second installment. They have been playable in each installment since their debut, generally with Peach being a starter character and Marth being unlockable. They are also among the first characters to have a counter. Unlike later installments, there are no events that have both Peach and Marth together.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl[]
In the eleventh Co-op Event, "The Great Remodelling Battle", Peach teams up with Luigi to fight Marth and Ike on Luigi's Mansion. A special condition is to leave the pillars of the mansion unharmed.
The Subspace Emissary[]
Beyond general interactions, like boarding the Halberd together, Marth and Peach don't interact much. They suffer the same fate as almost everyone else and need to be rescued.
Super Smash Bros for Wii U and 3DS[]
In one of the new Event Matches, "Unwavering Chivalry", the player controls Meta Knight, fighting Marth while avoiding Peach and Zelda. Defeating one of the princesses results in a game over. One official screenshot (shown in the gallery) implies Peach is attracted to Marth, as she has a heart around her head as he brushes his hair.
Fanon[]
While there is no common way the two met, the general implication is that they have been attracted to each other since they met back in Melee. Most fanart and fanfic implies that they have known each other or been together for awhile.
Within fanon, Marth is generally seen as being protective of Peach. He will show care for her safety and well-being, often holding her to make her feel secure. While he's protective, he is also shown to be tender and delicate, making sure she feels safe with him. Likewise, she tends to show love and kindess to him. They also tend to share a fondness for tea, though the reason for this is uncertain.
It's not uncommon for the two of them to have children together. Some fans who ship the couple will have them adopt Lucas. Others may have the two give birth to a child, typically with blue hair to match Marth's.
