Marvel Cinematic Universe ships. This page is for ships with a lack of content, or for ships with minimal interactions. Please add as much content as you can to the sections below. Once a ship meets the requirements, you are welcome to create a page.
The current requirements for ship pages are:
- 20 sentences split between the canon and fanon sections, with content in both sections.
- One minimum link under the fandom section (e.g. AO3 tags, Tumblr links)
Please refrain from adding more than five images to a ship section, and refrain from adding any fan art. If you're unsure if a ship meets the requirements for a page, discuss with a member of our admin team.

Canon[]
Season 1[]
NOW IS NOT THE END
Jack walks up to Peggy and Daniel after the briefing on Howard Stark, asking Peggy to organize some files, which she's offended by. As Jack leaves, Daniel jokes that he lost his personality during the war. The next day Peggy and Daniel see Jack in a meeting with the Chief. He comments that Jack's working on his next metal and how he got a lead on the Stark case, but didn't know anything else.
TIME AND TIDE
Daniel and Jack are assigned to investigate at Stark's mansion. Daniel knocks on the door, telling whoever is inside to open up. He sarcastically comments on how a criminal isn't answering the door. Jack tells him to knock harder, Daniel countering to borrow his forehead. Jack motions for Daniel to move to the side and he knocks at the door. Jarvis answers the door and the two introduce themselves as SSR agents. They ask if he reported a stolen car and they confirm that he did.

FitzWard[]
FitzWard is the slash ship between Leo Fitz and Grant Ward.
Canon[]
This section is in need of major improvement. Please help improve this article by editing it.
The two became a part of Coulson's team. They eventually were put on a mission alone together where they got to know each other a bit more and become closer friends. Fitz was hurt when he found out that Ward was a member of Hydra, but still believed their might be good in him. This hope was broken when Ward pushed a container with Fitz and Simmons in it out a jet and to the bottom of the ocean. Fitz became depraved of oxygen down there and suffered brain damage, and hating Ward.
Behind the Scenes[]
- “From the very moment [De Caestecker and I] met each other in pilot, it was like, OK, this is good. And then [the crew was] like, 'No, no, no, you're supposed to be into Skye!”
- — Brett Dalton[1]
- “I think that episode where they kind of came together, they did form a friendship but I think it was more about forming an understanding of each other. I think Fitz had the opinion that [Ward] was just a big muscly guy who had no brains, and I think Ward thought of me that I was just very smart but I didn't have any courage to go out and do stuff. We had to kind of prove to each other that we had that other side to ourselves -- and they had to prove that to themselves.”
- — Iain de Caestecker on "The Hub" episode[1]
Fanon[]
FitzWard gained some popularity in the fandom before the events of Ward's betrayal and H.Y.D.R.A. However, after Season 2, the popularity of this ship decreased because of Ward's attempt to kill Fitz. This attempt also lead to Fitz's brain damage. Many fans refuse to accept FitzWard because of these events.
However, many fans continue to ship FitzWard because Ward does slightly regret attempting to kill Fitz. Before Season 2, this ship was more popular with various fanart and fanfiction produced on this ship. Many depicted their small rivalry and arguments leading to eventual romance. FitzWard is sometimes appreciated because of the relationship between the two actors with Iain in particular as he wanted Brett Dalton's physique and to be him for a day. However, after Season 1, FitzWard's popularity declined with many fans expressing dislike for the pairing.
Most fanfiction with this ship tends to be based before the events of Ward's betrayal or an AU fanfiction. Soulmate AU are also popular with this ship.
On AO3, FitzWard is the third most written ship for Grant and the fifth most written ship for Fitz. It is also the nineteenth most written ship in the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. tag.

Science Teens[]
Science Teens is the het ship between Peter Parker and Shuri from the Marvel Cinematic Universe fandom.
Canon[]
Despite both existing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, these two haven't been formally introduced. They fought together in Avengers: Endgame against Thanos and his army, but never spoke during that fight.
Peter and Shuri share a number of similarities with each other. They are both teenagers with a strong affinity for science. Their similarities grow even further starting with Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, when Shuri takes up the mantle of the Black Panther. Having lost her brother, T'Challa, she is struggling with grief. A similar thing can be said for Peter, following the death of his superhero mentor, Tony Stark, in the fight against Thanos.
Peter and Shuri have met each other in the comics, most notably in "Klaws of the Panther" when Shuri travels to New York City and teams up with Spider-Man.
Fanon[]
Due to the two being highly gifted teenagers, the fandom enjoyed seeing them together. Plus, since Peter Parker is an extremely traumatized character, people have often found him fitting of Shuri's iconic "another broken white boy for me to fix" quote. In 2018 Tom Holland, the actor who plays Peter in the MCU, spoke about how much Peter would enjoy Wakanda. He said: "It would be brilliant to have our characters meet up, it would be so funny. [Letitia Wright's] brilliant in the movie, she’s actually my favorite part of Black Panther". [3]
There are currently over 200 works for this pairing on AO3. It is much more popular as a platonic pair, with over 650 works on AO3. As a friendship, the characters are also often paired up with Tony Stark and Bruce Banner, the other scientifically gifted members of the Avengers.

Plint[]
Plint is the slash ship between Clint Barton and Phil Coulson.
Canon[]
Thor[]
Phil Asks Agent Barton to give him a report of what he sees going on in a research center. However most assume they may have a bigger back story.
Avengers[]
After Coulson is brought back from the dead, none of the Avengers are aware. They all believe he is dead, including Clint.
Comics[]
Fanon[]
It's expressed in the fandom that Phil Coulson was Agent Barton and Agent Romanoff's handler. This means that Phil and Clint would have known each other a lot more than the films let on.
The fandom took off more in anticipation for the first Avengers film.
- “Clint/Coulson first started as a ship on the Thor kinkmeme, probably because it was the only viable slash option that a) wasn't incest and b) didn't break up a canon couple. The foundation for the pairing might have been thirty seconds long but it also followed a well-loved tradition of snarky/deadpan pairings, so there was an easy setup there. Also, they were both blank characters with little backstory in the MCU who had no visible love interests, which lured in fans who are otherwise hesitant to write for comic book movies. Thanks to a couple good prompts and fills, C/C gained a modest but loyal following. Then the Avengers came out, which provided a huge blow up in MCU fic in general, but also a) gave Coulson more characterization and b) resulted in people picking up the Fraction Hawkeye comics in an attempt to characterize Clint better. Upon the realization that Coulson was a secret dork and Clint might be a secret failboat, plus the fact that neither of them had an onscreen love interest, the pairing took off. It also helped that some of the early fics were both longer and really, really good. People would click on the pairing tag out of curiosity, and find good fic--of course it got big.”

On AO3, Plint is the most written ship for Coulson and the second most written for Clint. It is also the eighth most written ship in the Marvel Cinematic Universe tag. There are currently 11900 written works.
