Maxanne is the het ship between Max Goof and Roxanne from the A Goofy Movie fandom.

Roxanne is the girl Max has a crush on at his school. A dream he has of him and her, at the start of the film, shows that Max is worried of turning into his dad and scaring her off with his "goofy" traits.
House of Mouse[]
When Roxanne told Max that she wanted to have their big date at the night club he works at, Max tried to keep it a secret from his Dad. He worries that Goofy would go over the top and end up being all "goofy" on them. After Goofy does find out about the date, Max expresses his concern to the rest of the staff. Mickey and the gang offer to help Max with his date. While Max waits for Roxanne he practices what to say to her, but fails to notice her walking up behind him. Hearing Roxanne say that she has been waiting all week for their date, Max hopes that it would be worth the wait. Max had reserved a table for them and after his talk with Mickey he assumes that their date won't be interrupted.
Instead the staff shine a spotlight on the two and give them the overwhelming attention that Max wanted to avoid from his father, but ends up being embarrassed by Mickey and the gang. While Max is embarrassed by all this, Roxanne tried to help him make the date work. Unfortunately, the staff don't give the two any time to themselves to properly enjoy the date. Luckily Goofy steps in to defend Max, after his outburst and Roxanne thanks Goofy for it. To her the date wasn't ruined, like Max thought it was, and she saw it as the best date she has ever had. She tells Max that she wants to have another date at the club with him.

The same as A Goofy Movie, Roxanne is depicted as Max's crush in the comics Roxanne is featured in.
Ducktales (2017)[]
Max and Roxanne have a minor cameo in the episode "Quack Pack!". When Goofy pulls out his wallet to show Donald pictures of Max, one of the photographs appears to be a photograph of Max and Roxanne together at prom. It should be noted that the entire sequence of Goofy is later revealed to be a dream sequence created by a genie, and so this information about their relationship status might not be considered "canon"
Fanon[]
Maxanne is a well-liked pairing in the overall Disney fandom. A Goofy Movie is a cult classic, and many children grew up either having a crush on Max or a crush on Roxanne (or both). Fans enjoy the way that the two characters work together, and the similarities that they share in their awkwardness and overall attitudes to life. Fans were disappointed when Roxanne did not make an appearance in the sequel film, An Extremely Goofy Movie, but were ecstatic when the DuckTales reboot seemingly confirmed that the couple were still together.
There are currently over 100 works for Maxanne on AO3. It is Max's third most popular ship, and Roxanne's most popular. Prior to the boom of popularity Maxley experienced in 2024, Maxanne was Max's most popular non-crossover ship.

Trivia[]
- In the direct-to-video film Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas, Max is dating a new girl named Mona. However, Mona greatly resembles Roxanne and even shares the same voice actor. It has been heavily theorized that Roxanne was originally going to be Max's girlfriend, but that the technology at the time couldn't properly 3D render her long hair.
