McPriceley is the slash ship between Kevin Price and Elder McKinley from The Book of Mormon fandom.
Canon[]
Act I[]
Price and his companion, Arnold Cunningham, are led to their living quarters where they're greeted by Elder Mckinley who is the leader of District 9. After hearing that the Elders haven't converted any of the Ugandans to the Church, Price admits to Cunningham that he's feeling confused. Mckinley then assures him that it's natural given where they are but states that now that he's on his mission he has to do what the other Elders have all done.
This leads to the song "Turn it Off", where Mckinley teaches them about repressing their emotions. During the song Mckinley brings up about his childhood crush, Steve Blade, and reminisces about his dreams about him until he reminds himself to "turn it off". Price tells Mckinley that it's ok if he's having gay thoughts, just as long as he never acts upon them, which Mckinley denies and states that being gay is bad but lying is worse. After a sequence of the Elders tap dancing in sparkly pink waistcoats, Mckinley asks Price how he feels with Price responding that he feels the same which disappoints the Elders. Mckinley tells Price to imagine his brain of tiny boxes and crush the box that's gay but Price insists that he isn't having gay thoughts, which is promptly mistaken by the other Elders that the turning-off worked.
After the song, Mckinley leads Price and Cunningham to their room and explains that he's heard a lot of good things about Elder Price and hopes that he can turn things around and leaves the room, and then proceeds to tap dance down the hallway.
Later while discussing with the Elders about the progress report on their mission, Price enters with blood splattered all over him which Cunningham explains that they just witnessed a man get shot. Price informs that he can't continue his mission since he can't accomplish anything there. Mckinley warns him to not loose his cool on him now since their about to get evaluated by the Mission President which makes Price get an idea that he should talk to the Mission President and get a transfer. Though while he's explaining this, he grabs Mckinley's face with Mckinley attempting to kiss him (before Price turns to head out) which Price takes no notice of.
Act II[]
In the song "Spooky Mormon Hell Dream", Mckinley appears Price's hell dream as a demon and Price happens notices his fellow Elder and reaches for him, only to fail as he's bombarded by other demons. After Price's dream he's seen on the floor with the other Elders surrounded, worried for him. Price explains that he's not leaving even after his meltdown that last night and decides to stay in Uganda and stick to his work. Mckinley then laughs slightly and says "Ah, you had the hell dream, didn't you? Was I in it?" which Price gives no answer to.
Near the end of the show, the other Elders of District 9 are on their way to leave Uganda since the Mission President disbanded their unit due to Cunningham's false teachings. When Price asks where they're going, Mckinley explains they were shut down yet Price starts reasoning with the group on why they should stay. One of the fellow Mormons complains that the Mission President said that they're as far away from being Latter-day Saints as it gets, Price responds with "You know what, guys? Fuck him!" which leaves everyone shocked yet Price feels triumphant by. Price then gives a speech about how they're all still Latter-day saints, even if they change some things or they break the rules, he delivers this line while looking at Mckinley who gives a smile back.
Fanon[]
McPriceley is inarguably the most popular ship in The Book Of Mormon fandom since it springs from Mckinley's blatant crush on Price. While Mckinley is the only canonically gay character the the musical and Price has no canon love interest, this led the two to be paired together with their interactions throughout the show especially in songs like "Turn it Off" and "Spooky Mormon Hell Dream". The ship has become so popular over time, that later productions have teased the ship a lot more with their interactions and body language. There are currently 1,012 fanfics of the ship on AO3.
