Mechamiwa is the het ship between Kokichi “Mechamaru” Muta and Kasumi Miwa from the Jujutsu Kaisen fandom.

Muta and Miwa are second-year students at Kyoto Jujutsu High.
Kokichi Muta is born with a physically disability, that renders him immobile and doesn't allow him to walk or even be in the daylight. To attend classes Muta uses cursed corpse Ultimate Mechamaru, that he's able to control due to his Puppet Manipulation Technique. Being isolated due to the lack of corporeal body that can interact with others and be considered one of his own. One of Muta's main goals is to be able to see his friends, mainly Miwa, not through the eyes of the cursed pupped, but his own, so that's why he makes a deal with his enemy, who promises to provide him with a fully functioning body.
As shown in manga, being in the same year, Muta and Miwa seem to get along fine. In one of the panels Mechamaru is shown to be falling asleep, as Miwa stops by and reminds him about the homework deadline; he tells her to take his from the table and Miwa wordlessly wonders where real Mechamaru actually is right now. In episode 16 of the first season of anime, when Muta says he wants to be able to walk with his friends one day in his physical form, the audience is shown a close-up frame of smiling and waving Miwa first, before panning to the whole group of students he is currently undergoing training with.

After getting his body healed, Muta turns against Mahito and the rest of Geto's group. The room's floor caves in below Mahito's feet as a giant mech stands, towering over Mahito. It is Muta's Mechamaru Mode: Absolute, his greatest creation. In chapter 80 of the manga, preparing for a fight with Mahito, Muta thinks about all the cursed energy he's been saving up during those years he couldn't physically move. Seated in the cockpit, he decides that he won't hold back and will fight to the maximum of his capacity, and a memory of smiling Miwa comes to his mind. Later, after Mahito uses his Domain Expansion on Muta and walks away thinking he won, the sorcerer suddenly rises behind him and stabs Mahito's back using a spiked finger from Mechamaru and activates his Simple Domain, quelling Mahito's Domain. Again, he remembers Miwa and how she used her Simple Domain while fighting against the Tokyo students in the Goodwill Event. During the battle, Muta thinks about Miwa again: it's a memory of their conversation right after the exchange event. In this memory, Miwa notices how all the students got closer after the baseball game, and asks if one of these days she can visit Muta in where he is being kept. She mentions that friendships must be considered a disadvantage for sorcerers as they often die, and those close to them have to suffer afterwards. Miwa admits she enjoys "what they have", and says she wants to get along with him. Muta thought he won, but the cockpit suddenly bursts open as Mahito manages to beat him. Defeated in a fight, Muta collapses and thinks about how he will visit Miwa someday.
In chapter 128, Muta speaks to Miwa through intercom and tells her about how out of them only Todo and Nitta have gone to fight in Shibuya. While he's telling her this, Miwa begins to feel that she was too weak and useless to take active participation in the fight. Muta comforts her, and tells her more on the situation in Shibuya, telling her that she's not the only one. While doing so, Muta confesses his romantic feelings to Miwa, adding that his only wish is for her to be happy, no matter how she does it. Miwa reacts with tears.

This is a small ship, given there is not much content in the first season of anime, yet it is one of the very few confirmed romantic couples in Jujutsu Kaisen. The manga is the main source for the romantic context for this pairing. It's the most popular ship for both Miwa and Muta. The fandom mainly sees Miwa and Muta as possible High School Sweethearts, which they could have become, had Muta not died. Fans generally feel saddened over the tragic outcome, and in their works and fan arts they depict Miwa and Muta as a happy couple.

- Mangaka Gege Akutami said that he wanted to add a little romance for Jujutsu Kaisen and out of all female characters, Miwa seemed like the only one whose personality would be fit for it.[1]
- Miwa's birthday is April 4th, and Muta's is October 4th.
- In Jujutsu stroll for episode 15 (season 1), when asked "What's your type?", Miwa responds with "An average good looking guy, but the important thing is that he has to be a person I have fun being around with and someone who I think is the only one for me". Miwa definitely had fun being around Muta, and had he lived after his love confession, fans believe that he could have proved the last part, too.
- Muta's given name contains the meaning "good fortune, happiness" (kō) and "auspicious, lucky" (kichi), whereas his surname can be read as "bestow, impart, award, grant, give" (muta). Therefore, his speech to Miwa, telling her to "find your happiness" feels rather ironic since one could say he's the one giving her the happiness in question.[2]
- To celebrate the end of Jujutsu Kaisen, Gege Akutami drew an official art of all the "strong and clever allies" Gojo recruited. Mechamaru and Miwa were holding hands in the official art.
