- I have given you a lot of grace, Mephone. You saved me. And I will always be grateful for that. I even gave you… Another chance. But at this point, I just cannot believe that you hold these contestants’ best interests at heart.
- —MePad to MePhone4 in "Through No Choice Of Their Own".
Meeplings is the family ship between MePad and MePhone4 from the Inanimate Insanity fandom.
Canon[]
Pre Canon[]
MePhone4 met MePad for the first time while he was still at Meeple HQ. He had been extremely distraught upon finding 3GS’s body in the closet and learning the truth about how Cobs planned on replacing him. Which is when he found MePad, still not functional and with a loading screen showing his installation process. MePhone decides to take MePad’s unconscious body with him during his escape from Meeple. Saving him from having the same fate. MePad would remain unconscious throughout season 1 until his awakening in Season 2 Episode 2 “Marsh On Mars”.
Season 2[]
When MePad woke up, MePhone4 decided to nominate him as his new assistant, since he was very unsatisfied with having Toilet fill that role. Mepad takes the role efficiently and without any complains, as he does not have the emotional capability yet to question it.
From the very beginning, Mephone is shown to care very deeply about Mepad. And is often seen giving him praise for simple actions and things he says. While MePad is very dedicated to his job. Most of their interactions on each episodes are simple, with MePad helping MePhone4 during the elimination process.
“Everything is A-OJ”[]
When MePhone4 is taken to court, MePad takes the role of his lawyer (alongside Toilet), defending him even though he was in the wrong. When Mephone comes back from jail, he is quite happy to see MePad again.
“Theft and Battery”[]
When MePhone4 shows up sick for the elimination, MePad expresses concern for him and advises that he seeks immediate care, but MePhone4 turns it down. He then asks MePad to handle the elimination by himself since he's not feeling well.
When Mephone passes out because of the damaged battery, Mepad prioritizes getting a new battery for him before taking care of the challenge. And when the contestants aren't interested in helping him, Mepad makes the challenge to get a new battery for Mephone, temporily taking control over the show alongside Toilet during Mephone's absense.
Upon waking up again, Mephone gives all the credit to Mepad and thanks him for helping. When Mepad tells Mephone that he should also thank Toilet, Mephone turns down the suggestion.
“Kick The Bucket” and “Alternate Reality Show”[]
These episodes are when MePad starts to question his loyalty to MePhone4, and thus starting the drift in their relationship. While observing the contestants' distress, he develops worry for them that he did not feel before, and for the first time, he questions whether the show is causing too much distress for them.
When Marshmallow decides to leave the parameters of the show and quit, he was supposed to stop her from doing so. But he doesn't, because he can tell that leaving is what Marshmallow needs most in this situation. When MePhone4 asks him if he has any idea where she went, he then lies to him.
“Mine Your Own Business”[]
After the contestants have collected every gem MePhone4, MePad and Toilet use them to get MePhone4 back to his senses. After MePhone4 wakes up, MePad tells him he has been out for quite a while, but that everything is now sorted out well. Toilet later says he guesses they didn't need Adam's help after all, to which MePhone4 gets angry and fires him. MePad tries to stand against him, but nothing helps out. he later tells MePhone4 that Fan is eliminated. After that, MePad and he go to the cave. MePhone4 spawns an another gem which MePad touches and gets a flashback of him.
“Hatching The Plan”[]
MePad tells MePhone4 how he never knew that he saved him from Cobs. He later remarks how he didn't know either. MePhone4 later spawns Paintbrush's painting from "Alternative Reality Show". He talked about how he hated it and that he always wanted to do something that wasn't one of his tasks. MePad tries to lighten up the situation, saying that he did so, only for MePhone4 to knock down the painting and say otherwise. He says that not a single thing he has done has been out of Cobs' control, which makes MePad question if that counts MePhone4 saving him. He then glitches, spawning furniture. They both later get back to contestant grounds. After Fan is kidnapped by the Light Shimmers, MePhone4 and MePad teleport back in the cave to defend themselves. MePad consults him that isolating himself will not prevent his (aka Cobs') arrival, to which he agrees, saying it's inevitable. MePhone4 later says they can erase all of their information on everything and create new gems. He is interrupted by MePad, who asks if that isn't exactly what he wants. He confronts him by saying that if he just starts trusting his contestants and Toilet that it will be the best way to survive. MePhone4 chuckles about it, denying trust. He asks why MePad would let Marshmallow leave the show, telling him he has tried trusting and that it didn't work out. MePad, seeing the only option left, leaves MePhone by himself.
“Truth or Flare”[]
As MePhone4 is talking about the rules of the challenge, Taco appears alongside MePad, whom she took of her own accord. MePad agrees with her that if Mephone4 wants to keep his assistant, he shouldn't make any sudden moves. When he asks MePad what he's doing, he answers that this is what she needs. Later on, MePhone4 gets a notification to revive Taco, which he ignores and moves on. This infuriates MePad and demands him to recover her. He later does so. After everything, MePad confesses that he thought Taco would inspire the contestants to do what he's going to do, that being leaving the game completely. He quits being MePhone4's assistant and teleports himself and Taco to bushes behind the hotel.
“The Reality of The Situation”[]
MePhone4 hears crying coming from Pickle's room. He spots him dead, right alongside Taco and MePad. MePhone4 comes to the accusation that she killed him, but MePad defends her, saying it was not her doing. He later adds that MepHone4 made it clear he doesn't trust either of them, but he cuts him, saying that it might be Cobs' plan on taking over the show. MePad says that he doesn't work for MePhone4 anymore, to which he says he shouldn't do it for him.
“Through No Choice of Your Own”[]
After Toilet comes (in the body of MePhoneX), he says he thinks MePhone4 is hiding something. MePad assures him he isn't hiding anything but becomes questioned too. After MePhone4 tells the truth, everyone thinks he's lying. MePad even says he's allergic to the truth. He says that he's grateful for being saved by him, even giving him another chance at one point, but cannot believe that he holds his contestants' best interests at heart.
“Objects in Mirror”[]
As Steve Cobs is about to destroy MePhone4, MePad, Bow and Dough get teleported to defend him. MePhone4 rushes up to MePad and asks him where Toilet is. He answers he is hurt, but resting at the moment. Later, Cobs tries to stab MePhone4, but MePad comes right in front of him and dies for him instead.

Meeplings is a common pairing in the fandom, given how close yet complicated and complex their relationship is. Due to them having the same creator, and the fact that MePad lived his entire life under MePhone, the fandom usually interprets them as having a brotherly dynamic.
