Melvik is the het ship between Mel Medarda and Viktor from the League of Legends fandom.
Canon[]
Season 1[]
Act I[]
We meet both Mel and Viktor in episode 2. Mel is a councilor of Piltover, and Viktor is the assistant of Heimerdinger. We first see the two interact in episode 3, when Jayce and Viktor are attempting to break into Heimerdinger’s lab. She catches them, and as Viktor speaks up, she recognizes him as Heimerdinger’s assistant. She lets them go under the condition that they succeed in their mission and impress her with what they’ve created.
Act II[]
Viktor is seen listening to the council meeting in Act 2, episode 4, regarding the stolen gemstone and stolen research papers. This includes him listening to what Mel had to say in the meeting.
In Act 2, episode 5, Mel is shown laying down on her bed the day after her and Jayce had sex to which the camera cues to Viktor on laying down on his death bed.
Upon hearing the news that Viktor is dying, Mel is shown to be somber upon this and is (mostly) silently comforting Jayce as she starts to feel conflicted about something. While there is no more interactions involving the two Act 2. Episode 6 does showcases a bit of Viktor's life from when he was a little boy, specifically how he meet Singed, for what was shown its self-explanatory that Viktor didn't grew up in the most affordable situation as a child (considering that he lived in the Undercity), this is a stark contrast to Mel's more affordable and wealthy home life when she was a kid. But despite that both are shown and told that they were seen as "outsiders".
For Mel it was because she fell short of Medarda's standards and was eventually exiled from Noxus because of her mother feeling protective over her for this very reason while for Viktor it was because of him being born and raised in the Undercity along with being seen as a "cripple".
Act III[]

In episode 7 we see Mel and Viktor along with Jayce examining the bomb that was involved from the stolen gemstone incident. While Viktor is dismantling the bomb, Mel informs them of a suggestion that the creator of the bomb might have found a way to utilize the gemstone. Mel also tells them about the possibility of the theft using the gemstone for weapons but when Jayce asks if this is known for certain she responds with:

Suspicious, Viktor asks her what she means by that, she looks at him but decides to ignore his question and continues to talk with Jayce on the matter.

Fanon[]
MelVik is a decently sized ship by its own merits in the fandom.
Fans of the ship like it as some feel there to be untouched potential between Mel and Viktor’s relationship as it wasn’t explored as much in canon, besides the show often showing parallels between Mel and Viktor but even then most of those parallels are more often fuel for MelJayVik rather then the two themselves. It’s also shipped for its “hot people hot ship” merit. Often quoting the two as “hot celestial baddies”.

The Pair the Suitors trope comes into play when remembering that Mel and Viktor’s more popular ships both involve Jayce to which fans have made some memes of the ship with the “Scew Bella” Twilight meme. Occasionally even replacing the text to say “Screw Jayce”. As some people would half-joke about Jayce being so greedy by bagging both Mel and Viktor mostly said by Mel and Viktor simps/fans.
While some fans of Viktor tend to read him as gay, without any interest in women, as this can stem from fans that strictly ship Viktor with Jayce but they are others that see him as bisexual. Because of Jayce's canonical relationship with Mel, however, the polyship between the three of them has become increasingly popular in fandom. Fans view this as a way to reconcile canon with their inclinations to ship JayVik. Some fans still see Mel and Viktor as being only friends or outright not even liking each other at all in the polyship, with Jayce functioning as a hinge between them, while others choose to portray all three in romantic relationships with each other.
MelVik has over 300+ works on AO3. The biggest rivals for this ship are the character's respective ships with Jayce, JayVik and MelJay.
