MeliChako is the femslash ship between Ochako Uraraka and Melissa Shield from the My Hero Academia fandom.
Canon[]
Melissa and Ochako meet at the I-Island Expo. Ochako, Momo Yaoyorozu, and Kyoka Jiro stumble upon Melissa showing Izuku Midoriya around the expo halls. The girls all assume that Melissa and Izuku are more than friends, which causes Ochako to react with jealousy. Izuku, not knowing that his classmates have been invited to the Expo, is surprised to see them. Melissa, however, seems pleased to meet more of Izuku's friends. She suggests that they all head to the cafe, and have some tea together.
Once Ochako realizes that Melissa isn't a threat to her feelings for Izuku, the girls begin to get along. Melissa gushes over their field experience with Pro-Heroes, but Ochako tries to wave away her excitement. Ochako then says that she's excited to explore the rest of the Expo exhibits. Melissa offers to show Ochako and the other girls around, and they gladly take her up on that offer.
Later that night, Ochako, Melissa, and the other students of Class 1-A attend the Expo's opening party. However, due to the group running late they are not inside the party when it is taken hostage by a group of villains. They decide to try and fight to free everyone inside, which involves making their way to the control room on the 200th floor. When they reach the 138th floor, the students are faced with a hoard of security robots. Izuku and Melissa decide to go on ahead, and Melissa asks Ochako to join them. Ochako is hesitant at first to leave her other friends behind, but it eventually convinced that Izuku and Melissa will require her help.
The trio head outside, and Melissa asks Ochako to use her Quirk to allow her and Izuku to reach an emergency exit many feet above them. Melissa is frightened and Ochako senses it. She tells Melissa to hold on tight to Izuku, before using her Quirk to make them weightless. Izuku and Melissa take off, just as more security robots swarm towards Ochako. Melissa yells for her to leave, but Ochako replies that they won't make it without her. Melissa tries to stop Ochako, but she refuses to back down.

Like most ships that involve Melissa, MeliChako is considered a rarepair in the fandom. This is likely due to the fact that Melissa was originally an anime-only character, and introduced in one of the semi-canon movies. Since then she has made appearances in supplemental material such as Team-Up Missions and has a brief cameo in the Final War arc of the manga, but none of these interactions have involved Ochako.
Still, fans enjoy the ship due to the small interactions the pair had in the movie. Melissa's use of Ochako's first name shows that the two became good friends over a short period of time, and Ochako is the student Melissa shares the most screentime with other than Izuku. Some fans like to pair the three of them together into a polycule, while others like to use the "love triangle" aspect of their relationship as a starting point, and have it end with Melissa and Ochako getting together.
MeliChako currently has over 30 works on AO3. It is Melissa's third most popular romantic ship. It is most often rivalled by DekuMeli.
