Mepple x Mipple is the het ship between Mepple and Mipple from the Pretty Cure fandom.
Canon[]
Mepple and Mipple are both fairies from the Garden of Light. Mipple was the Princess of Hope, while Mepple was appointed as her chosen warrior to protect her. At some point, the two fell in love and became a couple. They were often described as being 'lovey-dovey' when showing affection with each other. Eventually, the Garden of Light became threatened by a force of darkness known as the Dokutsu Zone, and Mipple was sent to Garden of Rainbows, where earth exists, to find a pair of warriors known as Pretty Cure. Mepple followed Mipple one day later, but one hundred years passed in the Garden of Rainbows due to time passing differently there.
When Mipple arrived on earth, she was passed around the world until she ended up in the posession of Honoka's grandmother, who eventually found her after a meteor shower. Mepple instantly crashed into Nagisa when he arrived in the Garden of Rainbows. Mepple and Mipple could sense each other and led Nagisa and Honoka to each other until they met in an amusement park. Together Mepple and Mipple taught Nagisa and Honoka how to transform into Cure Black and Cure White respectively and fight off their first Zakenna, a being of darkness.
Pretty Cure managed to gather the prism stones and defeat the Evil King. Mepple and Mipple stayed in the Garden of Light but quickly returned to Pretty Cure because remnants known as the Seeds of Darkness escaped. The Prince of the Garden of Light, Pollun, also joined them and Mepple and Mipple were forced to take care of him together, which annoyed Mepple. Mepple would often argue with Pollun while Mipple would defend him because he is only a child, which caused Mepple and Mipple to be mad with each other temporarily.
Pretty Cure managed to defeat the Evil King once again, and Mepple and Mipple decided to stay in the Garden of Rainbows with Nagisa and Honoka. They fell asleep indefinitely due to their roles being served, and Nagisa and Honoka mourned them. However, when the Queen was split into fourteen seperate beings, and the darkness was threatening to return, they reawakened. The Evil King was later resurrected and overpowering Pretty Cure, causing them to lose hope, but Mepple and Mipple said that they had no regerts and that they were glad to meet them. Pretty Cure was then able to defeat the Evil King with Hikari's help, and Mepple and Mipple remained with them on earth without needing to sleep this time.

Mepple x Mipple is supported by the majority of the Futari wa Pretty Cure fandom but it is often overlooked due to Mepple and Mipple being side characters whom many find to be annoying. Mepple was escpecially found to be annoying at first due to him disrupting Nagisa while she was in class but this somewhat died down when Pollun was introduced, as many found that Mepple became less annoying since Pollun became the annoying one. Fans felt that Mepple and Mipple served as surrogate parents for Pollun and enjoyed seeing them as parental figures. On AO3, there are currently 11 works for the pairing. Mepple x Mipple does not have any rival pairings due to the two of them not being shipped with anyone else.
