CQTHRAZ is changing some of the pages' names and I'm worried that they are changing to what they think the ship's title should be, since they aren't placing the original title in aka and have took some of the akas off and I'm not very sure if they simply correcting them or not. Can you take a quick look at them please.
Either no one removed the stub template after your edits or you may need a more standard format of Fandom section. Please check the source code of our most popular pages to see how we usually fill that section with content.
ArtDraw12 wrote: If there really is nothing, then there's nothing that you can do. However, you can try with search tags that include both characters' names on DeviantArt, Tumblr, Pixiv, or even YouTube.
I've done that, but it still says that it needs expanding.
I don't think Y*utube counts as an info for the Fandom section, but the videos from it does. You have one option: You can create images from Butterbelle in DeviantArt and then publishing it, then inserting the images here, however is your option. You can do the same with Archive of Our Own, if there is not fan fics, you have to create one, ATLEAST one. I'm not good at advices, ArtDraw will explain you in a better way.
I think there are enough ships though... but i dunno, it needs atleast 10 ships on list, but i recently saw that someone created Aoi Asahina page that only has 5 ships on list... so i was wondering why it was the case..
It appears you finally can. She has 7 non-stub ship pages and has 11 ships listed on Danganronpa.
For reference, I was the one who created Aoi Asahina's page. The rules say you need to have at least 10 ships listed, with at least 5 of them being already existing non-stub pages. She had 5 non-stub pages and over 10 ships listed overall, therefore she met the requirement.
Answering your question in the comments of Danganronpa here since I prefer to avoid maintenance-related topics in the comments as they don't age well.
Yes, Soniaki and Sonanami are the same ship. I've just run a test to see which version of the ship is more important and, judging by the amount of content per each tag on DeviantArt and Tumblr, Soniaki wins on both of those sites, meaning our wiki will go with this one as the main ship name for these Sonia and Chiaki.
No problem too! Also, i want to say that i made the character page in my phone, because in my laptop it takes too long, the same goes for the ship pages i make. I dunno if it takes too long because of my laptop or the Wiki, but i'll say it's my laptop because in my phone it works well.
Judging by your most recent event on Sonia's page, I'd also like to ask you to get familiar with how we format the links to outside sources. A page we already mentioned on this thread, Aoi Asahina can provide as an example. As for ship pages (since they include AO3, DeviantArt or Tumblr links, any of those would do since most have them. Please check in the source mode while editing to see how we write them on the wiki.
I've seen that you uploaded a sprite of Chiaki Nanami. While sourcing images is mandatory for fan art, properly sourcing canon images also helps maintenance of the wiki. You can check the page of this very picture and its source code to find out how to do it. Thanks in advance.
Which one i should watch first.. hmm, i'll think on that later! Thank you so much for your recommendations also your favorite characters! I didn't know you were that fan of YTTD, Danganronpa, and the other fandoms. I'm really happy talking to you!
Oh yeah, I'm especially a Danganronpa nerd. I'm glad you're happy :)
I recommend going with Zero Escape first since it's more similar to DR and YTTD. For this trilogy, I would also recommend playing the games yourself. The game includes multiple escape rooms in each game, which makes it way more fun to solve on your own than watching someone else do it on their gameplay. After all, a letsplayer may not get some clue that you may have understood a long time ago, which can get frustrating. Or may want to investigate something else than you. But, of course, I undesrtand that it can be costly. Plus, you'd likely have to resort to someone's gameplay or a guide in case you'd get stuck on some puzzle.
When it comes to the order of trilogy itself, it's Zero Escape: 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors first, followed by Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward and Zero Time Dilemma. The first two are on Steam together as Zero Escape: Nonary Games.
So Ace Attorney would be second. The first trilogy is on Steam already (and as such are the only games of the series I've played so far). In case of the first trilogy, it's Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, then Justice for All and Trials and Tribulations. After the trilogy, the series is continued with Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney, Dual Destinies, and Spirit of Justice, along with several spin-offs, such as 2 installements of Ace Attorney Investigations. But like I said, I'm only past Trials and Tribulations for the time being.
It's like a long process for playing a game. Understood, if i have time, i can play it! I will not sure you because i'm still on Online Classes, but yeah, i have spare time, hm, it's true that i have to pay to play the game... is there any place to play it for free?
I can't really support pirating the game. I mean, I understand trying to save money, but if it's a company that creates the games you enjoy, you should try to support it by buying the game on official websites.
But if spending money on those titles would be too much for you, I guess you can always watch a gameplay for free. Again, not exactly the best way to experience such titles, but I understand if it's too expensive.
Speaking of which, I just remembered there's another murder mystery game from Spike Chunsoft by the creator of Zero Escape trilogy - AI: The Somnium Files. In this case, watching a gameplay is mostly harmless, though there are moments of the game that are better to experience in your own gameplay (namely, the Somnium parts and and a minor example in interrogations).
I have no idea how old you are, but if you've already watched/played DR and YTTD, you should be fine with those three. Zero Escape is the most mature of them all, but even this one isn't something for adults only. And the other two are possibly even more toned down than DR for such a genre, especially Ace Attorney.
Unless you mean you don't have your own bank account. I have no idea how it is for you, but if you have parents who wouldn't be against it, you can always ask them to buy the game for you. Or watch gameplays now and come back to those games after several years, once you'll be able to buy them on your own. Even though you'll have an idea about what happens, you won't remember every single detail (unless you'd end up rewatching those gameplays), so this immersion of the player will still work out for you.
As for whose gameplays you can watch, I've got several ones to recommend. NicoB, NyanCave, 1shotplays, So Whack!, and several more. If you prefer gameplays without commentaries, then justonegamr will be the one for you.
Thanks for the recommendations in advance, yeah, i don't have a bank account and i don't know if my parents will buy me one, because they would say something like; But if you want to try that game, you have to see if you really like it, or either way you would never try it even if we buy it to you. Or something like: Why would you play these gam- oh wait, it's too expensive, it's better buying it when we got money or in another chance. These are two more probably options i can think of though.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot. Both Zero Escape and AI have several endings. Although the order isn't too specific for most of them, there is a recommended order to enjoy them, especially in case of Zero Escape 999. So I'd recommend Justonegamr's no commentary gameplay since I've seen the order is correct here. However, I recommend to stop this gameplay once 999's part is over since the order for VLR is sligthly different (nothing too bad, but I'll try to look for a better order).
Judging by that one thread in discussions, looks like before you start Zero Escape, I gotta recommend watching the second season of Kaguya-sama: Love Is War and following it with the chapters of the manga that haven't been adapted to an anime version yet.
I've been thinking about creating a page for Korekiyo too, but at the moment he only has 8 ships listed. I know he's also shipped with Tenko, but I don't know the ship's name. I'm not sure who the last ship required for the minimum could be with, unless maybe Toko (or rather Genocide Jack), but again, I don't know the ship name for that. Technically, they could be listed as just "Korekiyo x Tenko" and "Korekiyo x Toko," and potentially changed later, but I prefer finding the proper ship names first.
If you can't do it now, then leave it for later. I also advice against editing on a phone, it's really messy. Like I said, I could create this page for you, but I need the names of those two ships (and maybe there were some other ships you had in mind?).
Ships? I only have Drinking Buddies and Sippa on mind. (Drinking Buddies from School Babysitters and Sippa from the manhua Castle Swimmer). Also, for the Korekiyo x Tenko, i think i have one on mind: Tenkiyo or KoTen (KoKo too). For Toko it would be like KoToko, ToKiyo, Shinkawa, Fukaguji, etc. You can pick your favorite.
What? We're talking about Korekiyo Shinguji's ships only. Are those first two some kind of crossover ships with him and someone from those series?
Thanks, but we should try to go with more commonly used ship names. If we can't find any, only then we'll go with one of those choices. Also, KoToko might not be a good idea since it's also a name (Kotoko Utsugi for example), thus if you tried to link something under Fandom's section with such a name, you'd get results for some other characters.
It's alright, crossover ships are allowed on the wiki. I mean, look at Sansmaeda or Yumenberg for example.
Wait, so Drinking Buddies and Sippa were also for Korekiyo and Tenko/Toko and were merely inspired by something from those series? I'm still confused.
Oh, while we're at it, we should also look for how a ship between Kaede and Korekiyo is called (or call it ourselves if we don't find anything). I mean, as a result of Free Time Events, protagonists are shippable with pretty much the entire cast they're from, so that's another ship to our list.
Sadly, it's pretty late where I live, so I'll be going to sleep. I can take care of it tomorrow, though.
N-No, the Drinking Buddies and Sippa are the ship pages i'm going to make, these are from different animes; Drinking Buddies from the anime School Babysitters and Sippa (it's the ship name i created) it's from the manhua Castle Swimer.
For the Kaede x Shinguji, i think it would be Anthropologist Piano (but i think it sounds weird) or Shimatsu, Kaeguji, or i dunno. However, i found this page that Tizmoa recommended on Disc; https://namecombiner.com/. Hope this was useful.
Sorry for the lack of response. I've been struggling with lack of Internet connection recently. It seems better now, though. I'll work on Korekiyo's page, as well as checking if any of those ships we mentioned already have a name in the fandom, at some later point, once I'll catch up with things.
Welp, kinda jinxed it back then and had another few days of no Internet connection. I've seen that Korekiyo's page has been already created (along with Himiko's and Miu's), so I'll just edit them at a later point today.
Hi. A couple of things I noticed in the userboxes you've made:
Juzosukechisa's name has been recently changed to Class 74th Trio. Please try to make sure you've got the newest version of the ship name every time. Sometimes a redirect is left behind, so changing the name on all the pages is not of utmost importance, as the link still works correctly. I believe this is what must have led to you using the old name.
I noticed that you use different pictures for DR characters' userboxes. Most of them use a cropped version of one of their sprites, but some use different type of sprites (Hajime Hinata and Kazuichi Souda in particular). If possible, could you use the same type of sprites for all of them?
Sure, if i can find images for everyone though, or i have to use Paint for cutting the images. Now, to add list: Re-placing Sprites from the DR Characters, doing all the Naruto userboxes, all the DR ones too, Haikyuu, BSD, etc. I will replace the images rn.
I was thinking you can continue the format that you used for most of them, so pictures such as this one are fine since you'll have less of them to update. I'm pretty sure all of the characters from the main games have such sprites on the infobox on their character pages on DR wiki, so there should be no problem with finding them, and I don't think you'd need to cut them yourself then. Only anime-only characters wouldn't have such sprites, but we could go with cut versions of those pictures. That is if they'd even get an userbox.
That's why I suggested you to go with the ones you'd already used for most of them, which were the sprites from the game, not their anime promo pictures. Cut versions of their anime sprites were supposed to be for anime-only characters, such as Great Gozu.
I wanna make the Ochako Uraraka page but i dunno if it have enough ships or atleast categories to do so. Also i wanna make the Sonia Nevermind page too but i need one more page to do it... hmm anyways i only have that doubt of doing it or not, but atleast the Ochako Uraraka page can be created or not yet?
Oh yea, is there any character from any anime or movie which needs a page to be created already? I will try doing that page if some of you administrators allow me of course, i only need details of what i'm going to do...
If you're not sure you have the minimum of 10 ships that can be listed on a character's/fandom's page, with at least 5 of them being non-stub ship pages, then don't do it. Create them only once you meet the minimum requirement. There's no need to count on the others adding them later since other users may not know which other ships could be added either, which would result in the page getting removed quickly.
There are plenty of characters who don't have their own character pages. But the truth is, for a lot of them, if not most, creating such pages will be impossible. There's also the fact that it's a Shipping Wiki. Ship pages are our priority, not characters' or fandoms'.
Oh yeah, i have another question; everytime i win a badge, that badge has an anime ship, or atleast a ship from any series or movies, correct?
Well i dunno if more badges like that can be created, like i want Shipping Wiki make a 'KhunBam' badge, but i wonder if they create these type of badges if that ship it's really popular in a fandom... btw, KhunBam it's way too popular not only in the anime... well that.
Only these doubts, sorry but i don't want to create more messages on your message walls because it'll going to pile up and i don't want that, so i will try to ask you in a same message.
The badges are mostly automatic achievements that are the same for all wikis. The only thing us admins can do is edit the title and the image of a badge to fit with the wiki's theme. I can't answer since the badges were created way before I became an admin on this wiki. Pretty sure they just went with the most popular ships that had ship pages at the time. You can try asking one of our longest-running admins about whether they'd change one badge to a one like you want, but I'm not sure if it'd amount to anything since it's not some major issue that needs fixing, and since it makes sense to have some of our longest existing ship pages on the achievements. You can still try, though.
Hello! I got a doubt about the Top 10 AO3 Ships table.
Is it allowed to include "Gen ships", and if yes, why? I've seen some tables including Gen "ships" and in my opinion that's not really shipping -- and unfortunately some couples are getting more than just one spot in the Top 10 AO3 ranking thanks to this. :/
Yes, gen fics are allowed, as it's a refleciton of AO3 numbers. Typically though, when we go to gen we also take the time to filter out non-gen fics for the friendship. This is to reflect what the tag is meant to be and get rid of the mis tagging. Most of the time this switches things around.
Additionally, there are other types of pairings other than romantic. Friendship and Family fics fall under the gen categories. People are allowed to ship things as one or the other, it's just that typically shipping is dominated by romantic portrayals.
She has more than minimum non-stub already existing pages and, if you know how to properly write a character's page, that technically would be alright. However, I only counted 9 Sonia-related ships on Danganronpa's page. If you manage to find at least 1 more, go ahead. If not, it's not the time yet.
By the way, I noticed you commented on this matter on one of Sonia's ship pages. Please try to stay on topic and only comment on ship-related topics. While the comments that are about the wiki maintenance aren't forbidden (unlike ship hate for example), they don't age well and most people reading it won't have the context. You can write such comments on admins' message walls if you have to.
