Ye Olden Days[]
Minnie portrays a princess whom her father is forcing to marry a prince (portrayed by Dippy Dawg) while Mickey takes on the role of a traveling minstrel. Hearing the princess crying in her tower, the minstrel sings a comforting song to her. Overhearing him and then seeing him from her window, the princess kisses a flower and then throws it down to him. The minstrel then jumps up to the tower window and greets the princess, promising to rescue her. When the princess asks how, he says that they'll climb down a rope, only for her to inform him that they don't have one.
Fortunately, the pair are able to fashion a rope out of clothes belonging to the princess' lady-in-waiting, and the minstrel begins sliding down the rope with one arm around the princess. However, they are spotted making their escape by the king and captured, and the minstrel is sentenced to death by guillotine. The princess, having become enamored of her hero, begs her father to spare his life and declares her love for him. At her suggestion, the king orders a duel between the minstrel and the prince, and the princess gives her hero a kiss on the cheek as he is freed for the event.
The princess jumps up and down and claps her hands in glee as the minstrel gains the upper hand against the prince. After the minstrel is victorious, she climbs up to join him on the back of his faithful donkey. The minstrel then pulls her in for a kiss, with the princess unfolding a fan to obscure the moment from viewers.
Mickey's Rival[]
Brave Little Tailor[]
Minnie once again takes on the role of a princess, who is instantly smitten when Mickey is brought before her father and herself in his role as the titular hero. Due to a misunderstanding, Mickey has been identified as a giant slayer, and the king attempts to persuade Mickey to take on the giant plaguing the kingdom. Minnie suggests to her father that her hand in marriage be offered to Mickey as a reward should he slay the giant, and she then showers the object of her affection with kisses. This ends up having the desired effect, and Mickey-despite having no actual experience as a giant slayer-goes forth to battle. In the end he manages to defeat the giant, and he and Minnie share a side-by-side ride on carousel horses and share a kiss.
Mickey, Donald and Goofy are working as janitors for the Musketeers when Princess Minnie is suddenly ambushed by the Beagle Boys. Minnie demands that Captain Pete, leader of the Musketeers, provide her with bodyguards. Unbeknownst to her, Pete is also the Beagle Boys' employer and seeks to depose her so that he can be king of France. Knowing of Mickey and friends' Musketeer aspirations, Pete decides to pretend to recruit them as Musketeers and assign them to Minnie's protection.
Princess Minnie, who has been fantasizing for some time about a potential romance, is immediately smitten when she first catches sight of Mickey. She is drawn into a surreal fantasy in which the two dance in a cloudy landscape but is interrupted when Daisy arrives with a snack for her. Mickey and his comrades mistake Daisy for an attacker, and Minnie is forced to order them to halt in order to clear up the misunderstanding. Abashed, Mickey apologizes for the confusion, and Minnie accepts his contrition and seems content with her new bodyguards.
On an outing in the country, Minnie discusses the object of her affections with Daisy, commenting on Mickey's handsomeness. Daisy, though sympathetic, points out that Mickey's status as a commoner makes him an unfit suitor for Minnie. The princess, however, becomes only further enamored of the idea upon being told that her love would be "forbidden." When Minnie and Daisy are captured by the Beagle Boys, Mickey swears to rescue Minnie and the three of them venture into a tower to save them. Mickey expresses concern when Minnie and Daisy are thrown into a cage and later urges Goofy to take some action before a horrible fate befalls the princess.
The three Musketeers succeed in rescuing the girls from the tower, but Mickey then has difficulty in freeing them from the ropes they are bound with. He eventually succeeds by accident, and his sheepish reaction prompts a giggle from Minnie. This, as it happens, was how Minnie believed she would know her true love. The two share a romantic trip back to Paris (to the tune of the movie's narrator performing a song entitled "Sweet Wings of Love"). At the end of the date, Minnie kisses Mickey and leaves him enraptured.
Later that night, Minnie doodles romantic drawings of herself and Mickey, and is pleased to realize that she and Mickey both share a last name. Unfortunately, Pete then acts to eliminate his troublesome recruits so that he can abduct Minnie with no further interference. Mickey is disheartened upon learning that Pete only pretended to accept him and his friends as Musketeers, but his friends are able to convince him to take action in part for fear of what may befall Princess Minnie. When the trio arrive to find Princess Minnie in Pete's clutches, Minnie is immediately comforted, and Mickey assures her that they'll rescue her.
Mickey eventually reaches the chest in which Minnie and Daisy are locked and attempts to open it, but Minnie warns him that Pete has come up behind him. After Pete and his minions are defeated, Mickey and Minnie share a loving glance as they take each other by the hand. Upon seeing that Daisy has now apparently fallen for Donald, with Daisy commenting "C’est la vie. (That's life)", Minnie responds by saying "C’est l’amore! (That's love!)" and pulling Mickey into a passionate kiss. Sometime later, a ceremony is held in which Minnie proclaims all three of her protectors as official Musketeers. In the series' second episode, "A Surprise for Minnie", Mickey forgets about Valentine's Day but is reminded by Goofy, who is sure that he must have gotten something nice for Minnie. Determined to make up for his lapse, particularly since Valentine's Day is Minnie's favorite holiday, Mickey makes a Valentine's Day card for Minnie and sets out to deliver it to her. Mickey and Minnie greet each other happily, and Minnie is very pleased to receive Mickey's card, hugging him afterwards. She then presents him with a bouquet of flowers, making Mickey react bashfully.
Croissant de Triomphe[]
During a busy day at a café in France, Minnie is shocked to discover that she has no more croissants and calls Daisy for more croissant and Daisy sent her delivery boy Mickey to deliver the croissants. Mickey drives across the Paris and even crashes into Cinderella's castle trying to deliver the croissants. At the end of the short, Minnie thanks Mickey for the delivery by giving him a kiss.
