Season 3[]
MEET MONDO GECKO
Mikey and Casey are skating around on a rooftop, when a mutant gecko skates by. Mikey thinks he's awesome and starts coming up with names for him, before landing on Mondo Gecko. The Gecko stops, and says that the name sucks, and runs at them with his skateboard in hand. He asks if they know what happened to the last guy who called them names, and Mikey asks how they would know that given that they just met him. The Gecko then starts laughing as he was just messing with them. He introduces himself as Jason, and Mikey says Mondo Gecko would be a much better name. Jason then shows him how he can lick his own eyeballs with his tongue, and Mikey says that he's always wanted to do that. He tries, but it doesn't work very well. Mikey asks how Jason became a gecko and he explains that he got hit with a cannister that dropped from the sky while holding his pet gecko last year. He thought it was cool, but kicked out and now lives on the street. But he made friends, like Casey and Mikey. Mikey's into his whole vibe, but Casey says that he doesn't trust him. Mikey says that he feels responsible given that the turtles caused the mutagen spill last year, and yells for Mondo to wait up so they can skateboard.
They end up in a scuffle with the Purple Dragons, and Hun throws Mondo over the side of the building. Mikey swings around and is able to catch him before he can hit the street. He swing back to the roof and places Mondo down before joining Casey to take out Hun. After the fight, Mondo says that he's never had anyone do that for him before. Mikey says that friends don't let each other get kicked off buildings and gives him a fistbump. Mondo takes some money from the Purple Dragons, and Mikey is offended that he's stealing. Mondo says it's just from bad guys, but he ends up getting into an argument with Casey. Mikey tries to get them to get along, but Casey won't hang with criminals and walks off. Mondo tells Mikey that they can hang out at his place, and Mikey is upset that Casey left.
Mondo takes him to a sewer entrance, and Mikey is amazed that he also lives in the sewer. Mondo says that Mr. X has taken in a lot of mutants, who Mikey has never heard of. Mondo says that he gave him a home and a job, suggesting that if he likes Mikey he might give him one as well. Mikey says he already has a job as a ninja, and Mondo leads him down. Mikey asks where they are, when a cage drops on him. He tries to escape, and tells Mondo to run before he gets caught. Mondo says that he's sorry, and Xever comes out of the shadows and reveals that he sent Mondo to lure Mikey down there. Mikey asks Mondo how he could do this, since he thought they were friends. Mondo asks Xever if he's sure that the turtles are as bad as he says, but Xever slaps him aside.

MikeyMondo is a rarepair in the TMNT fandom. There is a small following from the 1987 series, as many point out that the two acted like boyfriends through Mondo's only appearance.
