Mimeanor is the Non-binary ship between The Mimic and Eleanor from the Five Nights at Freddy's fandom.

Canon[]

It is worth noting that neither characters have met each other in canon. However, both characters are the main antagonists within their respective storylines (Eleanor for Fazbear's Frights, Mimic of the Steel Wool FNaF games + Tales from The Pizzaplex), both Eleanor and the Mimic are also heavily tied to the concept of agony in the FNaF universe (Eleanor being an entity of/feeding off of agony, the Mimic given life from Edwin's Agony).

Eleanor[]

Eleanor made her first appearance in Fazbear's Frights #1: Into the Pit, in the story titled "To be Beautiful" In it, Eleanor is found in a junkyard by the story's protagonist: Sarah, who takes her home and cleans the robot up. In return, Eleanor gives sarah a heart shaped necklace that she claims will cause Sarah to appear more beautiful every day.

Near the end of the story, Sarah trips and the necklace falls off, which reveals her lower body to be nothing more than a pile of scrap metal. Running down and going into the garage, Sarah finds trash bags with all of her body parts contained within them. As it turns out, while Sarah was sleeping. Eleanor had surgically replaced Sarah's parts with pieces of scrap metal, and the necklace acted merely as a mask. Eleanor then appears and pressed a heart-shaped button on her throat, taking the form of Sarah's previous, unchanged form. As she leave the garage with a wave, Sarah crumbles into a pile of junk and dies.

The Stichwraith Stingers[]

In the Stichwraith Stingers, Eleanor first appears in stinger #7 as part of the Afton Amalgamation, as the abomination dies, Eleanor escapes from the beast.

Over the course of the Stichwraith Stingers, it is revealed that Eleanor is not only a creature that feasts on the pain of others, but also responsible for the events of several other of the Frights stories, such as Plushtrap Chaser, 1:35, Step Closer, Hide and Seek, and Blackbird. Eleanor is ultimately defeated when Jake, one of the souls within the Stichwraith, uses his energy to burn her body and trapping her within one of her memories, rendering her unharmful. 2 weeks later, Jake goes to the ballpit, which contains the trapped, agonize souls of all of eleanors victims, giving them new, much more pleasant memories. Allowing them to finally rest.

Five NIghts at Freddy's: Into The Pit[]

In Into The Pit (the game version), Eleanor appears in one of the hidden minigames in a recreation of the "To Be Beautiful" storyline, you play as Eleanor and are instructed to "Grant her wish." You do so by putting together Sarah's parts three times. On the last of the three attempts, the screen glitches and Sarah, much like the original story, becomes nothing more than a scrap pile.

The Mimic[]

The mimic makes its first proper appearance in the Tales from The Pizzaplex story aptly titled "The Mimic" In it, Edwin Murray is a down-on-his-luck inventor, living in a factory and trying to look after his son David after his mother, Fiona died in childbirth. In order to have someone look over his son while he worked, Edwin created the mimic with junk he had around, a (at the time) legless endoskeleton, it is designed to learn from it's environment and copy them.

One morning while Edwin is trying to get breakfast ready for himself and David, he finds the front door to the factory opened, as he gives chase, he is unfortunately too late as David is hit by a white van while trying to retrieve his ball, killing him. As weeks go by, Edwin becomes overcome with grief at the loss of his son, culminating when he see's the mimic continuing to mimic david, asking for ice cream. In a blind rage, Edwin ruthlessly beats the mimic with a metal rod, leaving it in a broken state. Eventually Edwin ran off and fazent would eventually sent a team out to recover anything murray had created them, which lead to the first team finding and repairing the mimic, only to be killed by the now agony-infused endoskeleton. More and more teams are sent out to retrieve the mimic, but all three are eventually killed by it.

Security Breach: Ruin[]

In Ruin, the Mimic, befitting its name, mimics the voice of cassies friend Gregory, in order to lure her deep within the now abandoned pizzaplex to free itself. In addition to mimicking gregory, the Mimic also takes on the form of the Helpi assistant within Cassie's V.A.N.N.I to help her navigate the AR world and shut down the M.X.E.S console, which keeps mimic trapped underneath roxy's raceway.

After all the AR nodes are destroyed and the M.X.E.S console is shut down, Cassie descends into the deepest depths of the caves below the pizzaplex, it is within these caves that the mimic reveals itself, attempting to harm cassie, but just before he does so, Roxanne Wolf, who cassie had previously shut down, returns just in time and fights off the mimic just long enough to give cassie time to run, as the real gregory informs Cassie that he was never trapped in the pizza plex, the mimic pushes aside a construction life and begins chasing her all the way to the elevator, the mimic tries to reach for cassie, but loses an arm in the process, bending one of the elevator bars as it stares down Cassie in anger. As cassie ascends the elevator, Gregory (or possibly the Mimic copying Gregory) chimes in over the radio, stating that he cannot let it or cassie get out, as he does so, the elevator falls to the ground, and the game ends.

Secret Of The Mimic[]

The most recent appearance of the Mimic is in Five Nights at Freddy's: Secret of The Mimic. In the game, Arnold (the protagonist) is recruited for one last job. Edwin Murray has gone missing and, due to his properties now belonging to fazent, Arnold is sent to Murray's Costume Manor to retrieve any tech murray was working on. Throughout the game, the mimic chases down the protagonist in various costumes around the costume manor, as well as taking over Jackie, Big Top, And Dollie respectively in an attempt to kill Arnold as he makes his way through the abandoned facility. Towards the end of the game, Dispatch asks that Arnold returns his data driver, when he doesn't and instead runs the Parachute.EXE program, a secret door opens in the office, leading arnold back into the welcome lobby and activate the goodbye song, which allows him into a lower section of MCM, containing a prototype of the FNaF 1 pizzeria, alongside prototype versions of the original four characters, alongside prototype versions of both Fredbear and Spring Bonnie.

Through several audio recordings, a retold version of the mimic story is revealed, Fiona had died in a fire at a fallfest and Edwin, both trying to have something to keep watch over his son and after hearing what he thinks is Fiona's ghost in the basement of the facility, creates M1: an endoskeleton that is able to recreate any personality, causing it to take on the persona of the late Fiona. Tragedy would strike Edwin once again as, on his birthday, David would be found dead on the playground Edwin had made for him, M1 would tell Edwin that he fix this, that he could make another robot to replace him, taking the suggestion, Edwin attempts to make M2, a robot to replace David the same way M1 did with Fiona, but he can't get it to work, M1 is eventually transferred into the the cradle, which would later be known as M.X.E.S (Mechanical X-Form Experimental Storage) system and M2 is created using M1's body. Just like M1 before, it works in replicating David too well. It eventually hits Edwin that M2 isn't really david, and like in the original mimic story, when M2 attempts to mimic davids behavior, Edwin beats the endoskeleton, destroying its legs.

Fanon[]

While a rather niche ship within the FNaF fandom, the ship picked up notoriety within the twitter FNaF community due to user @VISITOR444333's making crackship art of the two, which eventually progressed in the ship slowly gaining more fans and becoming more widespread.

The reason both characters are shipped together varies: First of all, both act as the main antagonists within their respective series, second of all, many find the idea of two creatures born of agony (paranormal energy made of pain in the FNaF universe) falling in love (and the ways they'd show affection) with one another interesting. As user @MA1EXU explains and I quote "I seriously think it'd be interesting in concept. Mimic learning to love again, which creates problems on eleanor's part as she has trouble feeling the same." The two, while being rather monstrous, also have a contrasting aesthetic to one another, with the mimic having a more grunge/dark pallet, which contrasts the high femme bright colors of Eleanor, playing off tropes like the High Contrast Duo

Mimeanor is the most popular ship for both characters. Though due to the niche nature of the ship, there is little in the way of tags for the ship.
