Minori and Haruka are both members of the idol group MORE MORE JUMP! They are both second-year classmates at Miyamasuzaka Girls Academy.
Main Story[]

MORE MORE JUMP!'s Main Story starts off with Minori's past as a child. She monologues about being incredibly unlucky, never getting what she wants no matter how hard she tries. We then cut to Minori in her bedroom telling her mom she's sick. As it turns out, Minori is not really sick but scared to go to school. She's embarrassed about dropping the baton during the relay.
Minori sees Haruka on TV
After leaving, Minori's mom leaves the TV on by accident. Young Minori sees Haruka on TV, preforming a solo for the first time on TV. Minori immediately becomes captivated upon seeing her, describing her as bright and shining. Minori comments on how Haruka is her age and thinks that she's pretty. Minori wants to be like her but lacks the courage to try. Just then Haruka tells her audience that no matter how hard today is, tomorrow will always be a better day. Haruka continues her motivational speech saying that she'll always do her best as an idol to spread hope. Minori laughs internally about how one sentence cheered her up so much. Minori asks herself if she can really work hard without giving up. Minori is convinced by Haruka's words, so she excitedly decides to go back to school, apologize about the relay race and promise to try harder.
A few years later, Minori puts a resume in a mailbox, hoping to be approved this year. She then goes up to the school's rooftop to practice her dance steps. She tumbles to the ground, and then contemplates if she should stop practicing for the day. She decides to continue because she believes Haruka's training is probably much harder. After finding a mysterious app on her phone and being transported to Stage SEKAI, her first thought is that she would love to preform here with Haruka. Minori then wakes up, thinking the SEKAI was just a strange dream. The story then cuts to Haruka filling out the paperwork to quit being an idol. The story once again cuts back to Minori motivating herself to continue being an idol for Haruka's sake.
The scene then jumps to Minori getting a bunch of rejection letters for her auditions. She sulks a bit, but immediately stops when she realizes she's late for school. When she arrives, she sulks again about her rejection letters. But she stops when thinking about Haruka. She decides that she should think positively, and her audition would surely get there next time. A student interrupts her thoughts, asking her if she's seen the news. Minori is confused, since she didn't have time to watch the news this morning. But when she goes to check the news, she finds out ASRUN broke up and Haruka quit being an idol. She promptly lets out a shocked, "Wha... WHAAAAT?!".
During class, Minori heard some of her classmates talking about how Haruka is in the hall and is heading to class C which made her really surprised. While Haruka is introducing herself in her new class, and Minori along with other students decides to take a peek. Minori who still can't believe she's seeing Haruka in person talks about how she feels like she's going to split into two which made the other students concerned. She starts thinking to herself about how Haruka had given her so much hope for tomorrow and have given her more than enough, she decides to support the path that Haruka chose as a return.
After school, Haruka is looking for a place that's quiet and she decides to go to the school rooftop. Coincidentally, Minori was going to practice dancing at the rooftop until the door squeaked and revealed Haruka which made her very shocked.
Time to RE:START![]
MORE MORE JUMP! tried out auditioning for multiple companies to debut as idols together, although none of the agencies were willing to give Minori a chance, passing her off as an 'amateur'. When she started feeling down about holding the other three behind, Haruka reminded her how she's important to the group as she gave them the chance to be idols again.
In Minori's "Wh-Wh-Wh-What?!" card's second side story, she tries her best to create an aura for herself, going out to the street where scouts find potential idols and models. She acted in a hurry before, making the other three worry for her. They catch her on the street, understanding what she was so worried about, and Haruka tells her that aura isn't something she consciously gives off. She says that even if it'll take her long to reach it, they'll look for a way for her to truly shine together.
In Haruka's "Bubbly Blue" card's first side story, she gets a call from an ex-ASRUN member, wanting to hear Haruka talk about the 'other girl', referring to Minori. This catches her off guard, as no one has shown interest in Minori up until this point, but she quickly collects herself and wonders where she should even start. This is the first time Haruka really talked about Minori, with the ex-ASRUN member saying they can feel her being an amazing idol in the future.
My Color![]
In Haruka's "An Idol Duty" card's first side story, Minori and Haruka encourage Airi to talk to Shizuku about her worries. They decide to help find new ideas for streams while the other two are gone, despite still being worried for their fellow teammate. Haruka tells Minori that even if they're worried, she is still willing to see what Minori has in her mind, nearing closer to her. This makes Minori stutter and blush, which misleads Haruka into believing she may have a fever, and having her lean forward to check her temperature. As though on cue, Airi walks in on them, saying she forgot something, and questioning what Haruka was doing. Haruka wastes no time explaining her concern of Minori possibly having a fever, which Minori quickly rebutted, saying she got flustered at how close Haruka got to her. Airi remarks that she misses these kinds of reactions of Minori's, and Haruka adds on that she used to act this way a lot more when they first met.
In Minori's "Positive Flower" card's first side story, Minori heads out to the courtyard in order to eat lunch together with Haruka, but upon finding out that she's the first one there, she starts reading some of the comments from MORE MORE JUMP!'s first livestream. When Haruka arrives, Minori asks if Haruka had any trouble coming to school in the morning in case she attracted extra attention due to the livestream, but Haruka assures her that she avoided it by wearing her disguise. The two proceed to discuss about disguises and Haruka revealing she only wears her full disguise while she's alone but wears something more simply (eg glasses) while around with friends.
With the comments about people wondering who Minori is in her mind, she determinedly says she'll make sure to not inconvenience others now that she's started her activities as an idol. Haruka agrees it's admirable that Minori is already thinking how to "protect the smiles of those around you". Minori denies doing something so grand and then wonders if she would accidentally pick something that would make her stick out even more. Haruka tells Minori to ask her for pointers when she feels like it and Minori happily says her first step is "getting enough recognition so that a disguise becomes necessary." Haruka then encourages both of them to do their best and Minori agrees with a smile.
Hear Me! Hopeful Show♪[]
In the first chapter, during MORE MORE JUMP!'s new segment, Haruka encourages Minori to give advice to the viewers about dance routines, and despite receiving some negative reactions about Minori's approach from the viewers, Haruka is glad she passed the question onto her.
In Chapter 3, when the four arrive for the joint stream with Nanamin, she mentions how she has been dying to meet Minori thanks to Haruka talking about her. Nanamin mentions how it sounds like Minori "means quite a lot to her". Once Nanamin recited everything that was told to her, Haruka blushes and asks her to stop as she's embarrassing her. Nanamin proceeds to note how astonishing it was that someone made Haruka feel this way, since she is always strict and professional in regards to her idol work.
Minori may have gotten a few mean comments from fans, but Haruka keeps accenting the fact that she is the reason MORE MORE JUMP! was formed notwithstanding. Even when Minori wills to show her skill of copying dance routines on stream, Haruka is the only one to ask her if she is certain she wants to do this. She is quick to reassure and attempt to cheer Minori up whenever she reads the pessimistic comments. After the stream, Haruka gives Minori a serious talk about advice, now that they are seriously becoming idols together. The next day, when Minori is overworking herself during practice, Haruka notices it immediately, giving her a pep talk of how rest is just as important.
In Chapter 7, after practice, Haruka suggests her and Minori walk back home together, which Minori says if it were according to her, she would be up for it every day. On their walk, Haruka apologizes for her approach after their last stream since Minori was already feeling down by then, but Minori reveals that after that, she learned something valuable. Haruka notices how Minori is more confident about being an idol now, and Minori says she is making her blush at the compliments. She says she wants to deliver hope with Haruka (then correcting herself to *with everyone). Next chapter, during Minori's solo, Haruka describes how Minori's doing better than during practice, and that she's radiating with her wish to spread hope. She says Minori is amazing, and that she is "going to blossom into something incredible."
In Haruka's "You Deserve It" card's first side story, Haruka discusses buying Minori something that may help her relax as a present with Airi and Shizuku. The next day, Haruka gifts her a heated eye pillow with a penguin design, which she owns a different colored version of herself. Minori observed that they have matching pairs now. In the card's second side story, Haruka notices that Minori looks sleepy, and suggests they both rest before Airi and Shizuku arrive. They talk about the performance during the event, and Haruka emphasizes how this is the first time they performed with someone like Minori, and that they will experience "lots of firsts together". Once Minori falls asleep, the other two arrive, and out of solicitude for her health, yet not wishing to wake her up, Haruka asks Airi to pass her jacket over.
In Minori's "For 'Your' Sake" card's first side story, they are taking a break from practice and drinking water. Haruka stares at Minori, which makes her flustered and unable to properly take a drink or rest this way. Haruka teases her, reminding her how she always watches Haruka do everything. Then, Minori starts overthinking, and Haruka giggles at the funny changes of her facial expressions. Haruka also reveals that she is a fan of Minori's. Her smile soothes Minori's uneasiness about the show. In the second side story, Minori finds herself dreaming about being surrounded by many fans, and when she wakes up, Haruka thinks her shoulder wasn't a great pillow for Minori, and to maybe offer her lap next time.

For Miyamasuzaka's school festival, Haruka helps run the Class 1-C's animal cafe. During the event, Haruka wears cat ears, causing Minori to be blinded by Haruka's aura.

Minoharu is a very popular ship in the Western fandom and one of the most popular ships in the Eastern fandom, notably being the most popular ship in the Korean fandom, as well as the most popular for both girls. It is mostly shipped because of Minori's canonical feelings for Haruka, as well as Haruka's implied returned feelings, and just how overall close they are. It is only slightly rivaled by their respective relationships with Kohane and An, as well as their fellow idol group members.
It has garnered a bit of flack, with some people falsely viewing it as a parasocial relationship, or that their relationship has a "power imbalance". However, this ship is still positively received aside from a small minority. Minoharu fans who also like Anhane joke that the "Time to hang out♪" event was just Anhane and Minoharu on a double date. Fans of Minoharu also tend to ship Shizuairi. It is the most written ship on AO3 for both girls.
