- I was scared of how my fans would react, but I decided to follow through with this anyway... And I wouldn't have had the courage to do so if it wasn't for Minori-chan. She said that she likes me for who I am now, which gave me the last push I needed to make up my mind.
- —"Bonds and Grief" first side story
Minoshizu is the femslash ship between Minori Hanasato and Shizuku Hinomori from the Project SEKAI fandom.
Canon[]
Shizuku and Minori are both members of the idol group MORE MORE JUMP! aswell as both attending Miyamasuzaka Girls' Academy - Minori being a first year (Class 1-A) and Shizuku a second year (Class 2-D). The two are known for being the clumsier and more 'airhead' members of their group.
Main Story[]
Shizuku and Minori first encounter eachother when the former of the two and Airi are arguing on the rooftop about Shizuku wanting to quit being an idol. Minori - along with Haruka who stumbled across her practicing - overhear the two and Airi gets upset at them for "eavesdropping" though Haruka is quick to specify that it was private area and Airi was the only speaking so loud in the first place.
The conversation quickly turns to Minori's dance practice and how she wants to be an idol, Airi telling her that she should give it up since she's failed over fifty times and Minori "doesn't seem like the idol type anyways" - her words coming from a place of concern but coming across as harsh. Especially considering her negative experience in the idol industry. Shizuku, being Airi's friend, is quick to reprimand her for denying Minori's dreams and asks her to stop being too harsh on Minori.
They're quickly interrupted by Miku, marking the creation of their Sekai, and Minori finds the courage, with gentle encouragement from Shizuku and from Miku's show, to ask the senior idols to help her with her practice - Shizuku also being the first to agree. Airi also agrees, with the conditions that if Minori fails her next audition then her help will stop. Shizuku and Minori meet up the next day along with Airi, who's helping with practice, and Haruka, who likes using the roof for reading. The three settle with working on introductions and interview skills, Shizuku praising Minori on her tenacity and how she's persevered through so many failed auditions yet still has the strength to keep trying.
Minori is also quick to cheer Shizuku up over the issues she's having with her idol group and her decision to retire due to said issues.
Later on in the story when Minori, Shizuku and Airi find out about Haruka's feelings and how she thinks she doesn't deserve to be an idol, along with Mai's insight on what happened between the two of them, they all help Mai meet up with Haruka. Minori begins to worry that Haruka and Mai meeting might do more harm to Haruka's mental state than good but Shizuku comforts her and tells her that it's more painful for two friends to continue misunderstanding eachother which seems to calm Minori down a bit. Haruka and Mai reconcile but Haruka still doesn't think she deserves to be an idol, and can't overcome the anxiety she started struggling with at the idea of being on stage - so Minori decides to put on a show to hopefully send hope to Haruka, which Shizuku and Airi ask to help her with. The three of them are able to help Haruka begin overcoming her anxieties and face her love of being an idol, and her desire to keep on performing which causes their Sekai to fully form.
At the end of the main story, when Minori fails to pass her audition she'd been practicing for, Shizuku encourages her to keep her head up as she always has and describes Minori as a person who was able to cheer her up. When Haruka joins them on the roof she makes the proposal that the four of them becoming a group together, Shizuku being the first to agree whilst Minori assumes she isn't included in the group. Shizuku tells Minori that none of this would've started without her, implying she views the other as an important part of their group (as do Haruka and Airi). And even goes on to suggest that Minori should call her and Airi by their first names, up until then Minori had been calling them "Hinomori-senpai" and "Momoi-senpai".
