MitsuAya is the femslash ship between Mitsuki Koga and Aya Oosawa from The Guy She Was Interested in Wasn't a Guy At All fandom.

Canon[]

Aya is a girly girl who sometimes goes to the record shop, and catches feelings for Mitsuki who she always sees there. Aya at first thinks Mitsuki is a guy, and describes Mitsuki as “looking just a little bored, always dressed head to toe in place, nice sense of style, just enough mystique, even his music taste is perfect!”. One day at the record shop, Aya gets her hair hooked on her headphones, Mitsuki notices and helps her untangle it, and apologizes for touching her hair without asking.

The next day at school, Aya tells her friend all about what happened that other day, gushing over the “mysterious boy”. Aya says she’s in love, and Mitsuki, who is sitting at the desk beside her, starts panicking since she’s the person Aya is talking about. Mitsuki wants to clear up the misunderstanding, but she’s afraid of what Aya will say if Mitsuki just tells her in the middle of class. Mitsuki decides to tell Aya the next time she sees her.

Mitsuki goes into the record shop and sees a shocked and flustered Aya. Aya starts apologizing and stuttering, and Mitsuki asks if Aya has been looking forward to seeing her that much. Aya is lovestruck and says she really has.

Mitsuki assumes Aya must be looking for the new Foo Fighters album and starts ranting about it, Mitsuki then apologizes thinking that she sounded creepy talking so much. But Aya tells Mitsuki she’s actually happy because the type of music she’s into is a bit different then what her friends like, so music has always been something she listened to herself. Mitsuki asks if Aya has listened to the album yet and Aya says she hasn’t, Mitsuki then gives Aya her copy to borrow. After Aya leaves, Mitsuki gets frustrated at herself for trying to act all cool instead of just telling Aya the truth, but she admits that she couldn’t help herself when she saw how Aya looked when talking about music.

At school, Aya thinks to herself, wishing she had someone to talk about music with. She drops her earbuds and Mitsuki picks them up and puts them on Aya’s ear, telling her she dropped her earbuds. Aya thanks her, and Mitsuki says “...That song rocks, doesn’t it?”. As Mitsuki leaves the classroom, Aya thinks that she just saw a flash of “that guy’s face”.

Aya goes to the record shop to give back Mitsuki’s album, and thanks her. Aya tells Mitsuki she wants to know what Mitsuki thinks about the album, and asks for her number. Mitsuki stutters out a no, but corrects herself, saying that she’s on a shift and left her phone somewhere else, but before she could finish, Mitsuki writes down her phone number on Mitsuki’s hand. Mitsuki’s uncle, who just watched the whole thing go down, is shocked and thinks that there’s something going on between the two girls.

Mitsuki and her uncle go to a concert, and her uncle asks if Mitsuki still hasn’t contacted Aya. Mitsuki is shocked by this sudden question, and tells him that there’s no way she could contact Aya, because she’s worried that Aya will find out how boring Mitsuki really is. Fortunately, Mitsuki’s uncle ends up convincing her to call Aya.

Aya is practicing what to say when Mitsuki calls her. When Mitsuki does call her, Aya tries to introduce herself and thank Mitsuki but stutters and mixes up her words. Mitsuki asks Aya what she thought of the album, but Aya ends up getting interrupted by her mom calling for dinner. Aya starts getting upset because everything is going wrong and starts apologizing but Mitsuki says her name and says that Aya’s mom is really full of energy too. Aya blushes and thinks to herself about how Mitsuki saying her name really makes her feel like everything will be alright.

On the weekend, Aya is getting ready to meet Mitsuki. On the way there, she gets soaked in rain, she contemplates going back home but is determined to go see Mitsuki. At the record shop, Mitsuki sees that Aya is drenched in rain water, and gives Aya her hoodie. Aya blushes, and turns away with her hand on her mouth. Mitsuki is confused and thinks Aya might think her hoodie smells bad, but Aya thinks the hoodie smells great.
