Ibuki is shown to like the Imposter, thinking he's very cool and reliable, and admiring his leadership capabilities. While Ibuki had never formally met Ryota until Hope Arc, she quickly took a liking to him, likely because of his friendship with the Imposter.
The Imposter cares deeply for Ryota, and is shown to be willing to go to great lengths to ensure that he his healthy and well. He even goes as far as exposing his secret to Mikan Tsumiki so that she could help Ryota after he had collapsed from overworking himself.
Towards the ending of Hope Arc, Ibuki, Ryota, and the Imposter can be seen together on the ship, celebrating with the rest of the newly reunited Class 77-B. At one point, Ibuki playfully shoves a piece of skewered meat into Ryota's mouth while he was talking with the Imposter, much to his bewilderment.
The ship likely sailed due to fans who are unable to choose between the Imposter's two main ships, and so they combine them in a poly ship. The scene in Hope Arc where the characters are shown eating together may have also contributed, as it confirmed that all three of them were friends.
Due to their lack of group interactions, the ship isn't overly popular, or even well-known in the fandom. Most fans prefer Ryota and the Imposter's other poly ship, Mitwomiki, as the dynamic between those two and Mikan was far more prominently featured in Despair Arc. Although, because all four characters are shown to be close friends with each other, some fans involve all of them together in a friend ship.
- All three characters are known for their close friendship with fellow Class 77-B student, Mikan Tsumiki.
