Both characters have never interacted in canon, as they come from different entries in the series. However, they do interact with each other during one event in Ultimate Talent Development Plan.
During the summer sports festival, Ibuki decides to perform her fight song in a place with a punk vibe. She then runs into Miu, and greets her happily. Miu is startled by Ibuki's shouting, and then ungraciously compliments her by saying that she must be "a real screamer in the sack." Ibuki is put-off by Miu's lewd remarks, and compares her to Teruteru Hanamura. Miu then asks Ibuki what she's doing, and slanderously questions if she came to waste her time. Ibuki defeatedly replies that she doesn't know herself, and that she doesn't even need to sing anymore, since Miu's whole presence was its own performance. Miu then angrily demands that Ibuki get on her knees for wasting her time.
The ship seemed to have mainly sailed due to the aesthetic similarities between the characters, which some find visually appealing. Both characters embody a different style of punk fashion, with Ibuki being punk rock, and Miu being steampunk. This has made them popular to draw together in fan art, much like with Soudabuki, especially in clothing and palette swaps. Additionally, both characters are known for being the charismatic oddballs in their respective groups, whom often struggle to understand them, and more often than not, do not attempt to.
However, the ship does not appear to extend beyond fan art. It naturally loses in popularity to several of both characters' more popular shipping choices. Most notably, Band Aid for Ibuki, and Irumatsu and Kiiruma for Miu.
- Both characters were born in November.
- Both characters are blood type AB.
- Both characters appear to not like slow-paced activity, as according to their respective report cards, Ibuki dislikes "boredom" and Miu dislikes "taking it easy."
