Mizulali is the femslash ship between Yumemizuki Mizuki and Citlali from the Genshin Impact fandom.

Canon[]

Currently, Mizuki and Citlali have no canon interactions or voicelines about each other. However, both are considered to be very different. Mizuki, being a clinical pyschologist, naturally has a very friendly and empathetic personality. She's extremely hardworking, willing to sacrifice many of her own needs to help others.

Citlali, on the other hand, is much more nagging and harsh towards those around her. She has a very short temper, lashing out at anyone who bothers her. Citlali avoids bonding or becoming closer to others, due to her fear of getting too attached.

In-Game Assets[]

If you look closely, Mizuki and Citlali have a few similar in-game assets. Firstly, Mizuki and Citlali's namecards have similar compositions and themes. Their namecards feature their creature companions placed on the right side, with a pink and purple color pallete. They also have similar normal attack animations, party animations, and idle animations.

Fanon[]

Compared to other rarepairs, Mizulali recieves more attention than most. Despite the fact that Mizulali is outshone by ships such as MizuLumi or Aelali, It still has its fair share of fans. Due to the two not sharing any interactions, shipping of Mizulali is generally centered around aesthetic. Both Mizuki and Citlali have a dreamy, almost ethereal theming, along with their matching soft pastel color palletes. Many fans also like to believe that since Citlali has experienced many losses, Citlali, being a clinical pyschologist, can offer condolences and support.

Few Mizulali fans treat it as a crackship, since both Mizuki and Citlali are considered "fanservice" characters in the fandom. They also may ship it to esentially rebel against Hoyoverse, since in-game they are portrayed to be more tender and friendly with Traveler than others. This has resulted in both getting treated as additions to Aether's popular "harem", which has been claimed to be repetitive and mischaracterizing. While frustrating to some, a portion of Mizulali shippers see this as another reason to pair the two together, in the same vein as other ships consisting of girls in this harem like AyaNilou.
