Mizutoya is the non-binary ship between Mizuki Akiyama and Touya Aoyagi from the Project SEKAI fandom.
Canon[]
Mizuki and Touya are both students at Kamiyama High School, though members of different units. They interact on occasion, mainly during the rare times that Mizuki attends school. Mizuki, being playful, often enjoys joking around with Touya - even if he doesn't often pick up on their jokes.
Whilst in their first year they're in different classes, they do end up in the same class in their second year. It's shown through a 1-koma that Touya also helps Mizuki catch up on work they missed whenever they skip school.
Kamiyama High Festival![]
Mizuki and Touya meet for the first time during the "Kamiyama High Festival!" event.
While Mizuki is walking around they approach Touya and Akito after overhearing Akito's name and realising he must be Ena's younger brother. After introducing themself and finding out their guess on Ena and Akito being siblings was correct, Mizuki asks Touya (who had been silent prior) for his name aswell. After asking if Ena is at school for the festival, and finding out she isn't, Touya invites them to join him and Akito to Class 2-A where his friend is doing a play.
The both of them enjoy the play, Mizuki finding the absurdity of it funny and Touya finding it admirable and sensing a "deeper and philosophical meaning" causing Mizuki to ask Akito if he's under the influence of some powerful hypnosis. Akito asks him about why he looks up to Tsukasa as much as he does and Touya goes in-depth about how they were childhood friends and is even comfortable mentioning his past with piano and strained relationship with his father in front of Mizuki. He explains how Tsukasa helped him be who he is today and how he owes him a debt for it - to this Mizuki thinks about how they, too, owe someone that same type of debt.
Once Tsukasa's class is done cleaning up and Touya mentions wanting to give his upperclassman feedback, Mizuki suggests they should go back in so he can voice his thoughts. After a few words Tsukasa has to rush off, Mizuki saying he might have another show he needs to get to - Touya is visibly troubled by this, since he had wanted to give Tsukasa his feedback whilst it was fresh in his mind. Akito tells him they could look around for Tsukasa and Mizuki is quick to offer their help too. Whilst Touya insists they don't have to, Mizuki tells him they wanted to look around anyways and it would be a thanks to Touya for inviting them along to see Tsukasa's class play.

Mizutoya is a rarepair, being heavily overshadowed by in-group pairings. They're mainly rivalled by AkiToya and Mizuena, which are the most popular ships for the two - aswell as other popular pairings like Toukoha and Mizumafu. The ship has been getting steadily more popular as of the 3rd Anniversary update, the two being classmates and more people noticing the dynamics between the two.
Mizutoya currently has 40+ romantic works and 80+ gen works on AO3.
