MomoKendo is the femslash ship between Momo Yaoyorozu and Itsuka Kendo from the My Hero Academia fandom.

Canon

Momo and Itsuka are both U.A. first years in the Hero Course. However, they didn't truly get to interact until after the Sports Festival, when they both decide to intern with the Pro-Hero Uwabami. Although Itsuka is wary of Uwabami's reasons for offering them internships since they are going to be in a commercial with her, rather than training, Momo takes a positive spin on it. Itsuka admires that, and decides to get more involved. Later on, Itsuka comments that it feels more like she and Momo are the entourage for Uwabami, rather than interns. Momo tries to once again put a positive spin on it, but Itsuka instead feels like her fellow intern is in denial. Uwabami later shows them the demo tape of the commercial they filmed. Momo is embarrassed, but the two are then both excited when they are able to patrol with her.

The two meet up again during the Joint Training exercise. Their teams are paired up against each other, and Itsuka confronts Momo. She brings up the beauty pageant she took part in during the school festival, but Momo explains she was unaware of it as she was practicing for the band. Itsuka and Toru both explain that since their internship together, Momo and Itsuka have been seen as a pair. This bothers Itsuka, as she feels Momo has better grades and a stronger quirk than her, so she wants a chance to take her on. Momo readily accepts this challenge.

During their battle, Itsuka isolates Momo so that she can take her on alone. Itsuka attacks with her big fists, and Momo tries but fails to create a shield to protect herself. She notes that she doesn't think she's superior to Itsuka, but she doesn't want to lose or give up either. Remembering what Itsuka's said, Momo pushes harder, creating a cannon with her quirk. Momo manages to shoot a projectile out of the cannon, and before passing out from being hit, she creates a rope tying her and Itsuka to the cannon. This causes Itsuka to be forced to drag them around as she continues to fight.

Although Itsuka and her team win the round, she doesn't feel like she truly beat Momo, as she still remained one step ahead of Itsuka, despite being defeated. Itsuka then takes Momo to the infirmary, and they then return to watch the rest of the match. Once the matches are all finished, the classes both gather in Class 1-A's dorms, and Itsuka and Momo chat together, along with Kyoka.

• Senpai: Momo admires Itsuka when they're on the same team, then Itsuka hit Momo on her head telling her to not zoning out and go work, Momo's eyes sparkles and she says "Yes!" with an excited tone and Itsuka thinks what's up with her

MomoKendo is decently received in the fandom, due to the girls being each other's closest relationship outside of their own classes. Although rivalled by het ships like TodoMomo and TetsuKendo or the more popular MomoJirou, the ship sees its fair share of content and interactions between the two. It has been used also as a ship mate for KamiJirou, as many people don't see Momo as being into boys. Both Itsuka and Momo being interested in girls is a popular headcanon in general around the fandom, specifically lesbian headcanons for Momo, and bisexual headcanons for Itsuka.
