Mondoleon is the slash ship between Leon Kuwata and Mondo Owada from the Danganronpa fandom.
Canon[]
In Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, Leon and Mondo are both participants of the Killing School Life. They are the blackened for Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 respectively. As such, their executions occur back to back. Prior to the Tragedy, they would have attended Hope's Peak Academy together as members of Class 78. When the Tragedy occurs, they both agree alongside their classmates to be sealed away safely in the school. At some point, Junko Enoshima takes away their memories of their years together as classmates.
At the beginning of Chapter 3, the remaining students all investigate the third floor of the school, which has just become accessible to them. While looking around in the repository, Makoto Naegi finds a picture of Leon, Mondo, and Chihiro Fujisaki laughing together. The picture appears to be taken in the school, but without the windows bolted up. This, of course, confuses Makoto. It is later revealed that this picture had been taken two years earlier, back before the Tragedy when they had all attended Hope's Peak Academy. This suggests that Leon and Mondo were all good friends with each other during their school time in Class 78. This is contrasted in the official artbook, however, with Leon and Mondo being shown to think negatively of each other on their relationship charts. Mondo believes Leon is a moron, while Leon thinks Mondo's style doesn't make him look popular. As the artbook is based on their thoughts of each other within the Killing Game, it is still possible that they were close friends prior to having their memories erased.
Leon and Mondo share an interaction in the non-canonical Ultimate Talent Development Plan. Mondo tries to get Leon's attention, but ends up yelling at him. Leon points out that something like that is okay with his biker gang, but not with others. Mondo apologizes, and explains that when he gets nervous he yells. Mondo admits that he's coming to Leon for romance advice, and Leon says that he's the perfect person to ask. He tries to teach Mondo how to be "chill" so that he doesn't scare anybody off. Mondo is very thankful, and offers to return the favor whenever Leon wants.
In Danganronpa S: Ultimate Summer Camp, Mondo and Leon are present in an interaction with Chihiro, Kazuichi Soda, and Kiyotaka Ishimaru. Kazuichi builds a jet-propelled raft and presents it to the guys. When Taka asks if there are any speed limits required for water vehicles, Leon says they should let loose and ride as fast as they can. He also points out that they can't really die in the virtual world. Chihiro argues that they still shouldn't drive too fast, and Mondo agrees with him.
Fanon[]
The ship sailed as a result of the photograph Makoto find of the duo with Chihiro Fujisaki. Prior to this, Leon and Mondo had not shared any significant interactions with each other. This photograph showed that they were particularly close friends, which inspired people to think of them romantically as well. Some fans of the ship like to really lean into the memory less plot of the game, having the two be in a relationship prior to the Tragedy that they have forgotten due to Junko's meddling.
