Monoperry is the slash ship between Francis Monogram and Perry the Platypus in the Phineas and Ferb fandom.
Canon[]
Overview[]
Major Monogram is the boss of Perry the Platypus at O.W.C.A., working as his commander and chief. Monogram will report to Perry the Platypus, or as he calls him, Agent P, telling him about his mission for the day. The vast majority of these missions are in regards to Doofenshmirtz and stopping his evil plans. However, there have been a number of times when Monogram has ordered Agent P to do something else. Monogram tends to be kind of a jerk at times, overworking Perry the Platypus and taking time out of his life to go do some missions that don't really matter. He also rarely ever gives Perry any thanks and generally refuses him any vacation time. This is because Major Monogram is a tough-as-nails, all-business secret agent, who always puts work first, even at the expense of the happiness and well-being of his employees. However, deep down, Monogram has exhibited occasional moments of sympathy for Perry, feeling bad for him and wanting the little guy to be happy. Major Monogram also greatly honors and salutes Perry the Platypus for being a top-notch agent, who has done tons of great things for not just Danville but also the world.
Season 1[]
JERK DE SOLIEL
Perry the Platypus came into work, wearing a ridiculous circus outfit, thanks to Phineas and Ferb dressing them up for their circus. Major Monogram couldn't keep himself from laughing his head off at him, while trying to give him his mission briefing but acted like he was just laughing at a funny joke he heard. Major Monogram apologized to Perry and asked him to turn around, only to take a picture on his cellphone and laugh even more, emailing this to Carl.
Season 2[]
THADDEUS AND THOR
Major Monogram waited for Perry to show up in his lair, when Perry was stuck in the garden hose. He began to worry that Perry was absent on account of quitting and started to think that he was being too mean to him. Monogram broke down, sobbing, thinking that he overworked the poor fella, only for Agent P to drop right in. Monogram regained composure and ordered Perry to go out and fight Doofenshmirtz. After Perry left, Major Monogram thought that he was too harsh on him and kicked himself for being so mean.
CHEER UP CANDACE
Perry came into his lair and Monogram was in tears, absolutely disappointed with the way Perry had been acting lately. Monogram then showed a bunch of surveillance footage of Perry doing evil things. This meant that with a heavy heart, Monogram would have to fire Perry for O.W.C.A. Perry refused to accept this and beat up the other agents that came in to escort him out of the building and he went off to see Doofenshmirtz. This is where Perry learned that Doofenshmirtz made a bunch of evil clones of Perry to frame him for something he didn't do. When this information came to light, Major Monogram re-instated Agent P as an agent and acted like he already knew the truth the whole time, which eh obviously didn't.
UNDERCOVER CARL
Major Monogram sent Agent P on a snipe hunt to go hunt down their long-lost agent, Agent G. The reason for this is because he suspected that Phineas and Ferb were complicit with Dr. Doofenshmirtz and he needed to send someone who wasn't so close to the family, (Carl), to stop them. When Agent P returned, Major Monogram admitted that this whole thing was just a wild goose chase and he didn't expect Perry to come back with anything, only for Perry to take out Agent G, revealing that he found him hiding out in Hawaii to steal some extra vacation time. Major Monogram thanked Agent P and told him that he deserved a vacation of his own ... He deserved one but he wasn't getting one because evil never rests. Major Monogram then saluted Agent P and out of discontent for how Monogram had just treated him all week, Perry refused to salute back, making things very awkward for Monogram.
Season 3[]
PHINEAS FLYNN'S BIRTHDAY CLIP-O-RAMA
Major Monogram told Perry that lately, his lab entrances have been getting a little lackluster. He then showed him a bunch of clips of other entrances in the past that were so much more interesting and asked whatever happened to that Agent P. Perry walked off and Major Monogram decided that he'd give it another week before he talked about his exits.
WHERE'S PERRY?
Perry was going to go on vacation to Tanzania with his family before Major Monogram called him up, telling him that he needed to skip out on this vacation and fight Doofenshmirtz at home since this was a mission so big that he couldn't take a break. Sadly, Perry was forced to fake sick so that he'd skip out on going to Africa, only to be brought home and be told that Doofenshmirtz' evil plan wasn't even all that bad and didn't warrant him leaving his vacation. Perry was reasonably very pissed off about this but Monogram didn't care and just sent him on his mission anyway. At the end of the episode, Monogram felt bad for how he'd treated Perry and sent him back to Africa to spend the rest of his vacation with The Flynn-Fletcher Family, understanding that family must be very important for him.
Season 4[]
LIVE AND LET DRIVE
Major Monogram had Perry come down to Montevillebad for a mission briefing and strangely gave him his mission in person. A running gag in the episode was for Monogram to come up and keep giving Perry information that he already knew.
Fanon[]
The relationship between Major Monogram and Perry the Platypus isn't quite as beloved as Perry's relationship with others such as his close family bond with Phineas and Ferb or even his on-and-off rivalry with Doofenshmirtz, mostly due to Monogram and Perry's time together being relatively limited in comparison. Also, whenever Monogram is with Perry, he tends to be kind of mean to him, ordering him around and putting Perry through a lot of pain and strife with no remorse. This makes a lot of fans hate Monogram and wish that he would show Perry a little bit more appreciation every now and again. Fortunately for them, the magic of fanfiction has brought this kind of relationship to life and even made Monogram and Perry into boyfriends a few times.
