MortiMick is the slash ship between Mickey Mouse and Mortimer Mouse from the Mickey Mouse and Friends fandom.

Canon[]

The two are often portrayed as rivals in most media featuring both characters. The exact nature of their relationship depending entirely on the specific work. The portrayal of their rivalry could be mutually vitriolic with high tensions such as in Mickey Mouse Works, one-sided like in House of Mouse or more playful and friendly such as Mickey Mouse Funhouse.

Mickey Mouse Works[]

Here the rivalry is shown to be mutually vitriolic. The two are frequently at each other's throats and constantly trying to one-up each other. In one short Mortimer even frames Mickey for a crime with the intent of getting him imprisoned. However, despite high tensions it is also shown that Mortimer does truly care about Mickey. When he believes that he ran Mickey over with his car when Mickey pranks him, he immediately becomes mournful, lamenting that Mickey was the closest thing to a friend he had. In another short, Mickey accidentally faxes a love-letter he wrote to Minnie to Mortimer. As a result Mortimer becomes physically affectionate with Mickey, and intent on spending time with him, much to Mickey's annoyance.

House of Mouse[]

The rivalry is still in effect, though it is far more one-sided than usual in House of Mouse. While usually Mickey is just as much of a participant as Mortimer, he is far more apathetic. Mortimer still goes out of his way to try sabotaging Mickey or one-upping him, he is not seen as much of a threat to Mickey's status and treated appropriately. Even though Mickey is not as much of an active participant of the rivalry as usual, he is still prone to bouts of insecurity. In one episode his insecurity leads to him going to Mortimer for advise, who is unhelpful.

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse[]

Introduced as an antagonist in Super Adventure, Mortimer goes by the alias of MegaMort for the majority of the episode as he makes off with several major landmarks in their town. The main cast then become superheroes to stop MegaMort's schemes. After rerepeatedly failing to defeat the villainous mouse, the team eventually succeeds in putting a stop to his schemes. However, in the process the team has put him in danger and so Super-Mickey comes up with a plan to save him. After he has been saved, he apologizes and introduces himself properly as Mortimer. Confessing that he just wanted to get their attention because he was lonely and too shy to approach them normally, Mickey declares that he will be Mortimer's friend. The two then sing a duet about the greatness of friendship as they all work together to put all of the landmarks back.

Mickey Mouse Mixed-Up Adventures[]

Formerly known as Mickey and the Roadster Racers, Mortimer is introduced as a celebrity actor and stunt racer known as Morty McCool. Initially idolized by most of the cast for his bravery and heroism on screen, Mickey was among his fans. However as it comes out that Mortimer is hardly similar to the character he plays, the entire cast get over their infatuation with the actor.

The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse[]

Similar to his portrayal in Roadster Racers, Mortimer's appearance in Wonderful World introduces him as a knight that Mickey idolizes. Taking Mickey on as a squire, it soon becomes apparent that Mortimer is not as courageous as Mickey thought he was and takes credits for feats accomplished by Mickey. In the end it is ultimately up to Mickey to save both himself and Mortimer when he has gotten them both into danger.

Mickey Mouse Funhouse[]

Though portrayed as just as arrogant as usual, Mortimer is generally seen as friendly and well-intentioned if somewhat overbearing at times. Here he is shown to be close friends with Mickey. They are friendly rivals who are more focused on impressing each other than necessarily one-upping each other or winning Minnie's affections. Because Mickey is impressionable and so eager to impress Mortimer, he is seen as a bad influence though it isn't intentional on his part.
