MuRui is the friendship between Enmu and Rui from the Demon Slayer fandom.
Canon[]
Rui and Enmu are both part of the Twelve Kizuki. The two are Lower moons, with Rui being Lower Moon 5 and Enmu being Lower Moon 1. It's unknown if the two interacted with each other since they do not appear on screen together. However, it is possible that the two interacted prior to the beginning of the story, due to the both of them being Lower Moons. With both being present at Lower Moon meetings.
Enmu and Rui are the only Lower Moons that are shown fighting against demon slayers in the anime. With Rui going up against Tanjiro, Nezuko and Giyu and Enmu going up against the Kamaboko Squad. There thus also the only Lower Moons, besides the former Lower Moons, to die by the hand of demon slayers. This is because the other Lower Moons were killed by Muzan during a meeting that was called because of Rui’s death. Enmu would also have been killed during this meeting if it was not for him talking his way out of it.

MuRui is largely unknown in the fandom, due the lack of interaction and screen time together. People do however think that the two might have interacted with each other during meetings that took place before the beginning of the story. The pairing mainly came to be due to the fact that both Rui and Enmu are the Lower Moons that we know the most about.
People believe that the two of them could maybe have become friends if Rui had survived and if the two shared more interaction. With this most people view this pairing as a friendship. People also tend to like the idea that Enmu would be a big brother for Rui, alongside their friendship. In fan art of the two, they are portrayed as hanging out which sometimes includes Enmu teaching Rui some tricks. Some people create an AU where the two of them are both demon slayer and would at some point meet each other and would become friends.
There are however some people who pair these two romantically, since they like the dynamic the two of them could have. They most commonly portray Enmu as someone who would tease/annoy Rui and Rui as someone who gets annoyed/irritated by this. However people tend to avoid pairing them together romantically due to the fact that Rui is physically a child and Enmu is physically in his mid twenties.
