Murphy's Law Trio is the friend ship between Milo Murphy, Zack Underwood, and Melissa Chase from the Milo Murphy's Law fandom.

Overview[]
Milo, Zack, and Melissa are a group of three best friends, who go to the same school together and get along quite well. They enjoy various activities and friendly endeavors and always have each others' backs even in the most trying of situations. Melissa and Zack are always there to support Milo when his Murphy's Law is in full effect and Milo helps out his friends with whatever it is they need. The three of them even have a band together called "Just Getting Started".
Season 1[]
Milo, Zack, and Melissa first came together as a trio in the series premiere, "Going the Extra Milo", where Zack started his first day at Jefferson Davis Middle School. Zack got a warm welcome to the constantly chaotic life of Milo Murphy and briefly met Melissa in the process as well. At the end of the episode, Melissa cemented herself into a friendship with Zack by giving him and Milo a bunch of food she won, betting on their lives during the bus trip to school. In "Murphy's Lard", the three friends confessed their deepest fears to each other. Melissa's fear was rollercoasters, Zack's fear was goldfish, and Milo's fear was Chinese finger traps. Even though there were no goldfish around at the time, Milo and Melissa were still able to conquer their fears of riding a rollercoaster, while caught in a Chinese finger trap together. In "Secrets and Pies", the three of them came closer as a friend group, when they all told each other their deepest secrets. Milo revealed where he got his trusty iconic backpack from, Melissa revealed that she has false teeth, and Zack revealed that he used to be part of a boy band called "The Lumberzacks", which he was especially embarrassed about. In "Battle of the Bands", the three of them started a band together, which they ended up calling "Just Getting Started". In "Missing Milo", Milo went missing, when he time traveled to the future with Cavendish and Dakota, meaning Zack and Melissa had to work together and set out a widespread search to find him, worrying for his safety and well-being. In "Fungus Among Us", the three of them went on a time travel adventure together with the intent of saving the world from Pistachions.
Season 2[]
In "The Phineas and Ferb Effect", Milo, Zack, and Melissa continued about their journey to fight off the Pistachions and save the world, now, with the help of Phineas and Ferb. In "Managing Murphy's Law", the three of them, as a band, got a gig performing at the Forget the Llamas, Save the Alpacas charity fundraising concert. In "Milo's World", Zack and Melissa sat around with other kids and discussed how they felt about Milo, all seeing him in different ways. They ultimately determined that this was Milo's world and they were all just living in it, admiring the kid for the powerhouse of a boy he basically was. In "Abducting Murphy's Law", Zack and Melissa helped save Milo from the Octalians. This alien arc would be continued into the season finale, "Milo in Space" and "Sphere and Loathing in Outer Space", which continued to have them all on their space adventure, getting Milo back to Earth.
Fanon[]
Milo, Zack, and Melissa are a well-rounded and charismatic friend group that fans of the show really love and adore. Fans find Zack and Melissa's friendship with Milo to be rather heartwarming, considering how most of the other students in the school avoid Milo at all costs, thanks to his Murphy's Law. Without Melissa and Zack, Milo wouldn't really have any friends, so it's super important that they stick by him no matter what, saving Milo from being ostracized by his peers. Also, due to Zack and Melissa's friendship with Milo, they've managed to attract other friends into Milo's friend circle, such as Mort, Chad, and Amanda. Their friendship is oftentimes paired with the romantic ships such as Milissa, Zalo, and most commonly, Zalissa, due to the latter's canonicity.
