MutedMic is the slash ship between Gray and Mico from the Brawl Stars fandom.

Canon

Gray and Mico are male playable characters in Brawl Stars and, depending on the player's choices, can face off or cooperate in online modes. They don't interact directly in the game. However, they appear together in an official promotional animation for the game. There Mico brags about how a guy begged him to be in one of his movies, but is interrupted by a call from the real director. He regains his composure and quickly heads to the location with his boom pole while Gray removes the stage that Mico was using.

They share things in common. Both work in Brawlywood, belonging to the same trio with Lola. They were given away for a limited time when they were released: Gray could be obtained by completing a special quest, while Mico was given away from December 14 to 31, 2023 as a Brawlydays 2023 gift. In the game, both are brawlers of mythical quality and have characteristics that help them move around the terrain. For example, Gray uses his super to create portals and teleport while Mico can travel long distances with the jumps he makes when attacking with his boom pole and his super attack that makes him fly for a while.

Despite their similarities, they have notable differences. They belong to different species: Gray is human and Mico is an animal. Likewise, both have different personalities. On the one hand, Mico becomes somewhat egotistical when asked about his job position and gets angry if he isn't taken seriously. On the other hand, Gray has the nature of a mime. In other words, he is quiet, elegant and respectful in Brawlywood productions. In-game, Mico is an assassin class while Gray is a support. Likewise, it has a faster reload speed, higher health and a greater attack range compared to the animal. However, the latter has better movement speed.

Fanon

People started pairing them because they are both part of the same trio and they find it cute to imagine a relationship between an egomaniacal but clumsy monkey and a mute mime. Furthermore, they reflect to a certain extent opposite poles: Mico produces and captures sound because he works as a boom mic operator, while Gray is a silent film actor. MutedMic is a very rare ship in the Brawl Stars fandom having a small fan base on Twitter. The low popularity of the ship is due to the relevance and love of the community for other pairings for the characters: GrayLola and DeadSilent in Gray's case and Spacejumping in Mico's case. Another reason would be that people find the idea of ​​a loving relationship between a human and an animal strange. Nevertheless, fans of the couple claim and joke that it would not be strange to pair them because there are already similar couples in the community like the RicoPiper.

Despite the small fan base and the little content of the duo outside of Twitter, different scenarios, dynamics and headcanons of the characters and the couple were created. One of them features Mico proposing to Gray being rejected, but he still persists with his love. Another scenario presents a Mico as a Camp Gay who seeks to make Gray fall in love with him. Although other fan arts give a twist to this idea and put Gray as the one who seeks to make the monkey fall in love with him and he debates his heterosexuality.
