He endured it all for his mother's sake, who was hospitalized and on life support. After his mother died, he no longer had a reason to hold back and takes down his abusers. He creates the Union and rules over Yeongdeungpo, taking down all of his enemies whether they be Manwol, Cheongang, or Eunjang. Skilled in academics, business, and fighting, Donald Na remained undefeated until his death.

Webtoon fans mainly ship Donald Na with Gray Yeon (Yeon Sieun in the Korean version) because his dying thoughts were thinking how his life could’ve been different and peaceful had he met Gray earlier and befriended him. Donald also thought that Gray was the only person who could stop him. People also ship him with Kingsley Kwan (Kwon Seokhyeon in the Korean version) because of Kingsley being his right hand man and being extremely loyal to the point of hiring thugs to kidnap Donald's enemy.
Fans also love how undefeated Donald remained and how even after he died, he was still respected by not just the Union, but also by the Baku Fam and even Phillip Kim (Kim Pilyoung in the Korean version) whom he had dropped not too long before the Han River Battle. Fans mourned his death and wished he could have lived and had a redemption arc.
