Naemondo is the slash ship between Mondo Owada and Makoto Naegi from the Danganronpa fandom.
Canon[]
Makoto and Mondo are both members of Class 78 at Hope's Peak Academy, as well as participants of the School Killing Life. It is unknown what their relationship prior to having their memories wiped was, but they seem to get along well during the killing game. When Makoto tries to stop Mondo from doing something rash when he and Byakuya get into an argument on their first day at Hope's Peak, Makoto ends up getting punched by Mondo instead. Mondo later apologizes for his short-tempered actions showing he holds no disdain towards Makoto.
When Mondo and Kiyotaka Ishimaru challenge each other to an endurance contest in the sauna, Mondo requests that Makoto be their witness. As he wants to ensure a fair contest, this shows that Mondo trusts Makoto. Makoto attempts to convince Mondo and Kiyotaka to leave the sauna when he believes it is no longer safe, but they ignore him. Makoto is surprised the next day to see that Mondo now appears to be good friends with Kiyotaka, and wonders what went down in the sauna after he left.
Makoto is able to discover Mondo to be the culprit of Chihiro Fujisaki's murder. Upon hearing Mondo's reasons for killing Chihiro, Makoto starts to feel guilty about revealing the truth. He is shown to be deeply upset when Mondo is executed.
During Mondo's Free Time events, he requests that Makoto comes riding with his gang after they escape Hope's Peak Academy. Makoto is unsure if it would be safe and Mondo states Makoto could ride with him on his motorcycle, showing that he trusts Makoto and sees him as a close friend. Mondo also talks to Makoto exclusively about his indecisiveness over his career path, something that he stated he would share with no one else. This proves a development in their friendship. At the end of School Mode, Mondo tells Makoto that he'll build him a "kick-ass" house as thanks for believing in his ability to change.
Mondo and Makoto do not share any interactions in the non-canonical Ultimate Talent Development Plan or Danganronpa S: Ultimate Summer Camp.
Fanon[]
Naemondo is considered to be a rarepair in the fandom. It is overshadowed mostly by Ishimondo, which is the most popular ship from Trigger Happy Havoc, and the third most popular ship in the overall Danganronpa fandom. Still, fans of Naemondo appreciate the way that Mondo was able to open up to Makoto during his Free Time Events. They also like the "opposites attract" trope that the ship fulfills, with Mondo being a "bad boy" and Makoto being a "cinnamon roll".
