Nailpack is the slash ship between Liam Plecak/Backpack and Owen Thompson/Nail from the HfjONE fandom.
Canon[]
In "Freefall", Liam is seen working at his cubicle in an office. Owen passes by him, telling him 'goodnight' as he leaves with his briefcase. This surprises Liam, to which he asks incredulously if they're done with work already. Owen says it's 6:30 PM. They both leave their workplace, separating ways.
In "A Toast", Liam and Bryce are at a supermarket to buy a charger for Texty. By coincidence, Owen spots his allegedly dead friend the same place he's shopping at. He stares in shock and drops his bag. Liam hears the noise and turns around to see who it is. Owen quickly runs up to him, asking where he'd been. To cover up his unexplainable disappearance, Liam tells Owen he got a job abroad. He lies that he's managing telemarketing stuff in Australia and tells him he's on a break, that being why he came back. Owen says that's awesome, but questions why neither the police nor anyone from their company said anything about it. Liam, acting confused, asks what the police have to do with the situation. Owen tells him everyone thought his friend was dead after a long time of investigating. Liam continues to deny it, saying his flights and purchases should still have been on record. To give things a happier outlook, Owen recommends he and Liam hang out more often, and gives him his new phone number, which Liam pockets. Owen is later called over by someone else and leaves. Liam is happy he got to see his co-worker again, but looks a bit depressed shortly after Owen leaves. In a conversation with Bryce afterward, Liam talks about Owen fondly and confirms that he and Owen have known each other since college. He comments that he's "remembering what it's like to have a life again".
In "Self-Titled", Liam checks Airy's computer and sees a page of contestants who will debut for season 3. The contestants of that season all have some sort of relation to the season 2 ones. One of them was Owen. The thought of his friend experiencing the torment he went through sickens Liam. He leaves the cave and seeks out Airy angrily, confronting him about Owen being on the season 3 page. Airy answers dismissively that he "thought picking people who knew you guys would be good too", and in a fit of rage, Liam attempts to kill him with his own axe. He fails, and ends up with his leg crushed by a fallen tree.
In the ONE Investigation series, Owen is asked to take part in the investigation regarding the disappearance of many individuals, one being Liam. He is interviewed by Ava Ledger about Liam's disappearance. Owen tells her he doesn't have any idea what happened. When asked about the last time that he saw Liam, he explained that he was leaving work, like any other day. He doesn't have much to say about Liam's disappearance, and since Ava is worn out from the case already, she simply ends the interview there. He is thanked anyway and leaves.
Fanon[]
Nailpack is a rarepair in the hfjONE fandom. Not many people ship it due to seeing the two as just co-workers or friends, or not acknowledging their relationship due to the fact that they have had only two on-screen interactions total. However, those who do ship it enjoy their friendly dynamic and the fact that they have canonically known each other for much longer.
The episodes that may have sparked the ship are "A Toast", in which Owen is very happy to see Liam turn out to be alive, and "Self-Titled", where when Liam found out Owen was planned to be kidnapped for ONE, he snapped and attempted to kill Airy. Especially the latter, because, according to the fans, Liam being willing to murder for Owen could be taken as Owen meaning a lot to him!
It is the most popular ship for Owen, but it remains unpopular across the fandom due to Owen being a side character. The pairings that rival the ship are Sodapack, Scentpack, Airypack, and Nailbar.
