Once Alice notices a white colored rabbit dressed in a waistcoat and carrying a pocket watch, she finds herself wanting to follow him. Leading her to the rabbit hole that takes Alice to Wonderland. With the White Rabbit running late and dashing off in a hurry to where he is pursue to be at that time, it makes it hard for Alice to catch up to him. Having to ask those she comes across if they have seen him.

White Rabbit was with Alice as they attended the Hatter's tea party with the rest of her Wonderland friends, until a fire broke out and Rabbit knew that Alice must wake up from her dream in order to survive. Otherwise she would be killed in the fire that has started in her house. Alice may have survived the fire like he wanted, but her family dying in the fire deeply affected Alice and the state of her mind changed Wonderland for the worse. When Alice was called back to Wonderland so she could save it by killing the Queen of Hearts, the White Rabbit is the first of her friends she sees. Alice has saw the White Rabbit as someone dear to her and upon her return to Wonderland, Alice has people asking her if she is the savior that Rabbit has spoke of.

As Alice tries to follow him, but ended up losing track of him, the Mock Turtle subjects that she goes to see Caterpillar. Caterpillar was the one Rabbit was trying to bring Alice to, but not long after she finally caught to him he gets killed by the Mad Hatter. Alice cries for Rabbit as she questions why those she loves end up dying so violently, believing herself to be cursed. Luckily Rabbit is brought by to life, after Alice defeats the Queen of Hearts and restores Wonderland to what it once was.

Because of Alice's connection and bond with the White Rabbit, it got many to view white colored rabbits as her iconic animal. From how they are used to reference Alice or simply her story.

Although Alice described the White Rabbit as someone dear to her and carried around a white rabbit doll as a child, the ship isn't largely supported in the American McGee's Alice fandom. With both games having him be killed right in front of her, and with it being unclear if he was brought back to life after Madness Returns or not. Despite the ship not having a large presence on fanfic websites, as American McGee's Alice fanfics on AO3 use the Alice/White Rabbit (Alice in Wonderland) tag rather than having its own Alice Liddell/White Rabbit tag on their AMA counterparts, Tumblr does have a few posts and drawings on their AMA selves. Some of them have Alice and Rabbit be part of the same post.

Due to White Rabbit is an animal than a person, however, it has people either treat Nalice as a friendship or focus on one of his human/humanoid counterparts. Like the one seen in the manga, Alice in the Country of Hearts ~Wonderful Wonder World~. That has the White Rabbit's Wonderful Wonder World counterpart, Peter White be one of the many inheritance of Wonderland to fall in love with Alice.
