Nanami x Bakery Lady is the het ship between Kento Nanami and the Bakery Lady from the Jujutsu Kaisen fandom.
Canon[]
After the events of Gojo's Past Arc, Yu Haibara's death, Suguru Geto's murderous rampage and his subsequent defection, Nanami quit being a Jujutsu sorcerer. Nanami thought being a Jujutsu sorcerer was a really terrible job as he had to be ready to sacrifice his own life at all times. Instead, he chose to become a salaryman, working in the finance industry.
One day, he stopped at his local bakery to buy something to eat. The Bakery Lady remembered his usual order and asked if that was what he wanted. Nanami was surprised but she replied that he always orders the same thing. Nanami tells her that their bread are better than the ones in his local supermarket, as they should. When he leaves the bakery, Nanami notices a small cursed spirit on her shoulder. He decides not to do anything about it as he does not want to seem weird or act like a fake medium.
Back at work, Nanami thinks to himself that he has no goal in his life and just wants to make money. He thinks that his job only consists in making the rich richer. When Nanami comes back to the bakery, the Bakery Lady notices the bags under his eyes and asks if he's okay. Nanami responds by saying that she also looks tired. She then tells him that her shoulders feel heavy and that she has trouble sleeping. Nanami then thinks that his job is useless to society and that nobody would miss him if he were to disapear, however the bakery's clients would miss it if it were to close down. Nanami then tells the Bakery Lady that, in a logical society, she should make more money than him. After that, Nanami exorcises the cursed spirit on her shoulder, tells her to see a doctor and leaves the bakery. The Bakery Lady runs after him and thanks him several times before telling him he can come back whenever he wants to.
After this exchange Nanami, thinks that he's not selfish after all as he wants to help people and decides to become a Jujutsu sorcerer once again.
Vs. Mahito Arc[]
When Nanami is trapped within Mahito's Domain Extension, he remembers the Bakery lady. He remembers how helping her made him feel useful and changed his mind about being a Jujutsu Sorcerer. Thanks to this encounter he was able to help people and make himself useful. He remembers her as one of the people who were grateful to him. Because of this, he has no regrets if he dies there.

Nanami x Bakery Lady is a rareship in the Jujutsu Kaisen fandom as the Bakery Lady is a minor character who only appeared in one chapter. This pairing is not as popular as ships like NanaGo or HaiNana for Nanami. Nonetheless, it currently has 29 works written under its tag on Archive of our Own. The ship is the only pairing for the Bakery Lady and Nanami's 14th most popular ship. Fans like the ship because they thinks Nanami deserves a peaceful life, working a job he doesn't hate and they think the ship could give him that.
