NaoMasao is the slash ship between the Persona 1 protagonist and Masao Inaba from the Persona fandom.
Canon[]
Naoya is designed as a silent protagonist. This ambiguity invites players to project emotions and relationships onto him. In the first volume of the Megami Ibunroku Persona Drama CD, during the fight with Mark's friend Bernie (who was possessed by his persona), Masao attempts to provoke Bernie to prevent him from further attacking his allies. However, the protagonist (called Yuuya Narumi) interrupts by activating his persona Seimen Kongou knowing that Masao wouldn't harm Bernie because he is his friend. Masao becomes worried about Yuuya's safety, especially since they were the only two standing within their team. Before attempting to attack, he tells Masao that he believes in him, which he eventually does end up going down, causing Masao to finally make a move.
