Naomight is the slash ship between Naomasa Tsukauchi and Toshinori Yagi from the My Hero Academia fandom.

Canon[]

The two first met when Naomasa was told by his coworker, Eizo Tanuma, to request All Might's help in dealing with the Trigger outbreak, specifically telling him to talk to his secretary-manager, Toshinori Yagi, if All Might wasn't available. Naomasa goes to the Might Tower and meets "Mr. Yagi," not knowing that he is actually All Might in his base form.

While they are having a conversation in a café, Toshinori constantly makes excuses and run to perform quick deeds as All Might. When Toshinori accidentally returns with the uniform still visible (revealing his dual identity as All Might), Naomasa calls him out on not filing reports on all of his heroic activities, as customary of a Professional Hero. Taking pity on the number 1 Hero, Naomasa offers to file the reports himself, letting All Might act without any worries apart from telling Naomasa what he is doing.

The next day, Naomasa receives several cases of All Might's unplanned Heroics, and wonders if it was Eizo's plan to push All Might's ordeal onto him from the start.

After being injured during a mission, Naomasa returns to Tokyo, where he meets Toshinori again in the Might Tower cafeteria. The hero is surprised to see Naomasa seriously injured; when he learns the cause, he tells Naomasa that that if he had known, he would have helped him. Naomasa thanks him for his concern, but tells All Might that a public figure like him can't be taking jobs for personal reasons or prioritize saving certain people, because they could be taken hostage or use as a diversion by villains, and Toshinori hesitantly agrees.

Naomasa asks Toshinori what is in the bag that he brought, and he reveals that he brought a few gifts, nervously asking if it's allowed. Naomasa reassures him and gives him his own gift, a souvenir from Osaka. Naomasa opens Toshinori's gift bag, asking what it is. Toshinori tells him that the gift is rose scented bath salts, and suggests that his sister may like them. Later, Naomasa gives the bath salts to his sister, Makoto, and she asks him if he is working with someone from All Might's agency, since the gift is expensive and the bag has an All Might logo. Annoyed, he takes back the gift, and decides to use it after arguing with her.

While fighting off creatures known as Bombers, Eraser Head asks Naomasa to call All Might for help. Naomasa agrees to Eraser's request and calls All Might, telling him that the Tokyo Sky Egg is in trouble, but is cut off as he watches the building collapse with thousands of people inside, including his sister Makoto Tsukauchi. He desperately asks All Might to save his sister. Thanks to this, All Might arrives in no time, landing the Tokyo Sky Egg dome safely and saving everyone.

Journalists and reporters arrive to report the Bombers' attack on the Tokyo Sky Egg, and ask All Might about his opinion. After his statement, he says goodbye and runs away, while being pursued by the media. After he escapes them, All Might, now as Toshinori Yagi, returns to the place and meets secretly with Naomasa. He tells him that he's going to stick around for a while in case there is another attack.

Naomasa apologizes for getting bent out of shape, but Toshinori tells him that it's fine, and that it was his impassioned plea that got him there in time. Toshinori explains to Naomasa that his Quirk has a strong psychological component to his strength. When he hears a plea for help, he feels it like a direct order to All Might. He tells Naomasa that he accepted his power in order to save everyone and give them hope.

Naomasa feels confused about how he "accepted" his power, and All Might realizes that he has unwittingly revealed an important fact regarding One For All and its secrets. Before their conversation continues, they are interrupted by Eraserhead, Fat Gum and Monika; Naomasa introduces them to Toshinori, who thinks that one of these days, he will have to explain to him everything about the secret behind All Might.

Transformed back into his muscular form, All Might destroys a swarm of Mini-bombers, while being cheered by those present. Afterwards, he disappears again to meet Naomasa in his base form.

Five years later, after the USJ attack, Naomasa visits U.A.'s Nurse Office, giving a friendly greeting to All Might. All Might asks him about the status of the students as well as Thirteen and Eraserhead, to which Naomasa states that the students are fine and the teachers are not in life-threatening danger. He then says that if he, Thirteen, and Eraserhead had not fought the villains, the kids would probably be in a terrible condition. All Might refutes this, saying that the students also fought bravely and made those villains look like fools, and concludes that they will make fine heroes, which Naomasa smiles to.

During the Hero Killer arc, Naomasa meets with All Might at U.A. He tells All Might that the police force has tried everything to get information out of the Nomu, but none of their methods worked, other than DNA analysis, and they discovered that the Nomu was made up of multiple humans. He says that the real issue is that Nomu's DNA contains multiple Quirks, since the Nomu could not have acquired multiple Quirks in any way (unless Nomu acquired the Quirks through advanced genetic familial permeation), concluding that someone with a Quirk that can grant Quirks is behind Nomu's acquisition of multiple Quirks, much to All Might's horror.

After the incident at Kiyashi Ward Shopping Mall. Naomasa arrives at the scene and takes Izuku to the Police Station to be question him about the it. Afterwards, outside of the police station, All Might greets Izuku and Naomasa, and he apologizes to Izuku for not being there. After Izuku and his mother leave, Naomasa theorizes that Tomura will probably target other students and decides that Hero schools must exercise more caution and become more proactive in implementing counter measures against villains. Naomasa advises All Might that leaving U.A. is also an option, but All Might decides against it. Naomasa concludes their conversation by saying that they will capture All For One this time, to which All Might agrees.

Quotes[]

Naomasa“I see... So you're basically the 'All Might Hotline,' eh?”
Toshinori“Oh, please. You're exaggerating a bit there.”
Naomasa“Not in the slightest! The fact that he trusts you to that extent is amazing in and of itself. 'The man who knows the mysterious true face of the Number One Hero...' Just thinking about it makes me a little excited.”
— MHA: Vigilantes; Chapter 6.6[src]
“In fact, I've been looking forward to our little meetings. I'm starved for real conversation, honestly. Ah, and here's my paperwork, all signed. Plus... Huh?! What happened, Tsukauchi?!”
— Toshinori Yagi; MHA: Vigilantes, Chapter 37[src]
“You call that nothing? You know I'll come running, whenever...!”
— Toshinori, after seeing Naomasa's injuries[src]

Fanon[]

Fans enjoy this ship due to Naomasa and Toshinori's close relationship in canon. Before meeting Naomasa, Toshinori was extremely lonely, due to hiding his identity as All Might, being a workaholic, and parting ways with Sir Nighteye. Though Naomasa only found out his identity by accident, he promised to keep it a secret. Since then, they remained good friends, with Naomasa being one of the few individuals that Toshinori fully trusts and can confide with.

Professionally, the two also have a special relationship. Naomasa is a vital ally of All Might, supplying him with information about investigations on matters related to the the League of Villains and All For One. Naomasa is also the one taking care of the paperwork for All Might's unauthorized random heroic acts.

All Might thinks Naomasa is the best cop there is, which shows how much faith he has in him.

There are over 240 works for Naomasa/Toshinori on AO3, and over 330 works for Naomasa & Toshinori.
