NaruIno is the het ship between Naruto Uzumaki and Ino Yamanaka from the Naruto fandom.

Both graduated as genin at the same time and were assigned to different teams. During this time they both did not hold each other in high esteem, as Naruto considered her as another annoying girl in Sasuke's groupie, while Ino found him behavior childish and annoying.
At the preliminary stage of the Chuunin exam, Ino was surprised when Naruto defeats Kiba and said: "Who would have thought Naruto would win the match?". Soon after, during Ino's fight with Sakura, Ino muttered on about how annoying Naruto was as she was in Sakura's mind. With the help of Naruto's voice, Ino was thrown out of her opponent's mind and the battle later ended up being a tie.

In the last phase of Chuunin exam Naruto's fight with Neji. Ino tells Sakura to put aside her feelings of worry for Sasuke and to instead cheer Naruto on. After witnessing how Naruto beat up Neji, an impressed yet joyful Ino tells Sakura that her team is pretty amazing.

Traveling to the mission
Tsunade assigned Ino and Naruto on a mission together, where Ino had to be the body double of a certain princess called Fuku. At first, Ino was very disappointed for getting teamed up with Naruto, but she later conforms. On their way to the princess' house, Ino tells Naruto that he always has a gift for screwing things up but Naruto assures her that everything will be a piece of cake.
When they met the princess, they were both shocked because she was overweight. Despite this, she still beared a striking resemblance to Ino. Fuku tells them that until she can lose some weight, she can't shown up like that in front of her fiance Chikara, therefore Ino will have to temporarily take her place. The later tried to behave and act like the princess in front of Fuku's fiance, but she finds his flamboyant displays of affection unbearable. Naruto mocked him because of his looks, which resulted in Ino pinching him in order to shut up. Frustrated that the mission was progressing too slow, Naruto decided to take her appearance and act like the princess in front of Chikara. When Ino discovered what Naruto was doing, she tied him up to a tree in order to prevent him jeopardizing the mission. However, Naruto escaped and tried to act like the princess but ended up divulging their plan instead. It was revealed that the prince indeed liked chubby women, therefore their mission was completed and they could return home to the village.

Tenchi Bridge Reconnaissance Arc[]
Reunion 3 years later
Not knowing who Sai was at that time, Naruto begins to charge head on at him with his kunai, but Sai managed to dodge his attack. From distance, Choji and Shikamaru saw what's happening and the later tried to help with his clone jutsu, but Sai jumps in to the air and disappears. Choji is called from behind by Ino. He tells her that a mysterious guy appeared, but she did not know what he was talking about. Ino saw Naruto from a distance and joyfully greets him from afar after she hasn't seen him for 3 years.
Omakes[]
In the omake after episode 117, Naruto can be seen walking down the streets with a couple of raffle tickets in his hands. He finds the lottery and is greeted by Ino. He spins the wheel; hoping to win the grand prize ramen, but he fails each time. Ino then gives him a candy. After the third attempt, Naruto scores, but ends up winning the Icha Icha series, signed by Jiraiya. Naruto throws the books away and walks away disappointed.
Pain's Assault Arc[]
After Naruto returned to the village, he was cheered by all the villagers. When, everyone was celebrating the victory, Ino, stated that she 'could almost fall for him' (only anime) to a confused Shikamaru and Choji, and along with others, she happily haul Naruto into the air.
Filler Episode: Paradise Life on Boat Arc[]
Naruto, Yamato, Guy and the rest stopped at an island to recover from sea sickness. There, he unexpectedly meets up with Sakura, Ino and Chouji who were sent by Tsunade to gather herbs for the upcoming war. On a hill, Naruto and Ino were shown searching together for a rare medicinal plant. He almost gave up when he didn't figured out which one he needs to harvest, but Ino offered him a sample of the specific plant. She also reminded him that after the war a lot of people will be injured so their search is absolutely necessary.
Fourth Shinobi World War[]
When Naruto joined the war and split his army of clones all over the battlefields, one of them encountered the InoShikaCho team. Ino seeing him, greeted him jovially for the second time.
"These are feelings from Naruto heart's coming through my jutsu. I can feel them!"
Ino, as a shinobi of the Yamanaka clan, used her Shindenshin no Jutsu to communicate telepathically with all the members of the alliance. Naruto, unconsciously out of his desire to help everyone, manifested his memories and feelings through that jutsu. Ino being the transmitter, and probably the most affected.
Fanon[]
NaruIno is not as popular compared to other fanon couples, but it does have a small fan base. Although they hardly ever interacted in the canon, fans believe that, due to their personalities, their social circle, and their love of gardening, among other common reasons, there could be ideal scenarios for the development of their relationship.
